In conclusion, effective construction management is essential to a project's success.

It is
fundamental and has an impact on every stage of construction. Construction management begins
from the inception stage until successfully handles the work for the client. Similar to how
important a foundation is to a building, good construction management lays a solid foundation
for a project's workability and productivity. Additionally, work breakdown structure (WBS),
labor management, material management, plant and equipment management, safety and health
management, quality management, site considerations, site layout, and site visit are all included
in the scope of construction management. This includes planning from the pre-construction to
post-construction phases. As construction managers, we should make sure that the building
project is finished safely within the completion time, give the best quality to the client, and most
importantly is within the client’s budget.
Most appreciably, we could gain a thorough understanding of construction management through
this group project as we conduct our own research on the site such as test the decibel test around
the construction area to research on when is the most appropriate time to conduct a work that is
the noisiest. Besides that, we identify potential site considerations such as we see whether the
existing drainage will it flood if raining heavily and we also see the scenarios based on a real site
location that is impacted by all conditions, including the Covid-19 pandemic, natural
considerations like weather, and resource availability. We might identify the kinds of tasks
needed, the quantity of unskilled or semi-skilled labor, the materials and equipment required, and
the duties of a contract manager using the knowledge of previous topics that we have learned in
this course. With the use of this information, we were able to develop an appropriate work
breakdown structure (WBS) and realistic construction period, all of which are essential for a
successful and efficient construction project.
