The doll test is a test created in the 1940’s by husband-and-wife Kenneth

and Mamie Clark. These two psychologists used the doll test to
experiment how black kids viewed their racial identities. A child is given
two dolls, one black, the other white, and is asked questions like which
doll is the nice doll and which doll is the bad doll, or which doll would
you like to play with.

What does it show about the effects of racism on children?

It shows how some kids disregard their own race while taking the test
and say for example that the black doll is the bad doll even though they
themselves are black.
Where do these stereotypes come from?
These stereotypes can very likely come from parents. A parent could
perhaps have a trauma and believe that since that one incident
happened to them with a specific race then suddenly every person of
the same race is a bad person.
Do you think this is an accurate representation of society today?
As much as I hate to say it, I’m pretty sure it is a very accurate
representation of today’s society. Because people nowadays judge from
skin color and not character
