 I believe that Katherine receives the most from the screen, Katherine Goble's great to me,

since she knows everything about arithmetic, which is more likely to wow a human

computer. The three most common characters are Katherine, Dorothy and Mary. A

mathematician who has a pre-natural love for math in his boyhood during the opening

flashback of the film.

 Dorothy Vaughan, for me was a woman who is responsible empowering not only for

herself but also for the success of others. one of the three real-life African American

women who helped decipher and define the mathematics used during the space race in

the 1960s. Jim Crow is impeded by her successful schooling, but she is nevertheless able

to graduate with a mathematics diploma and work from NASA's "Colored Computer"

division. NASA has searched for the greatest mathematicians of the country in an attempt

to beat Russia to the moon. The significance of the space race pushes them to accept

qualified candidates of any kind, including those in society.

 She had been fantastic, finally, Mary Jackson took engineering courses and needed a

special license from the city to let her become a black woman. She was an engineer and

it's really interesting, I think. This is why we have to stop stigmatic about women who go to

Mapúa University in particular.

 There are two major difficulties they face, namely gender, race, and science. So, they
came to the point when the racial isolation caused the removal of a protagonist from the

white library. However, the dark bibliography contains no scientific literature, showing that

dark dwellers are utterly demoralized, and their talent and intellect are totally disregarded.

 Three African Americans in 1961 were facing every difficulty, during a period of

segregation and pervasive racism and sexism and in the beginning of the space race they

aided NASA. A narrative which has been neglected up to now is the record of Katherine

Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn and Mary Jackson.

1.Racism – racism was a big thing before, because that was the time when black

americans were used as slaves and could not do what white people could do. But the

truth to that is black americans have more talent that those of the white. Black americans

have had a much bigger impact in their culture from hiphop to style to clothing lines etc.

2. Discrimination – black americans have been discriminated all their life up until now. But

today people now understand that being black is not and would never be a bad thing to

the society. I have met some mixed races such as black filipinos and they never hurt

anyone but rather would have your back if you needed them.

3.The belief that men are the best – back then people had this idea that men were always

on top. They thought that if you were a woman you would fit in a man’s job, but it was

wrong to think that way for we were all born from nothing and had to learn and understand

many things to get where we are today.

 I don't think women were regarded at that time or period as the kind we're seeing women

today. There were inequalities since they are women because of their gender and they
are working at NASA, which they had problems, because others felt they couldn't do what

they could do, particularly MATH. I believe that even now, in terms of unfairness and

racism, these types of issues exist in our society, since there are still nations and people

who lack information.

 I'm grateful for dealing with such hard challenges and I had so much respect for the black

folks after seeing this movie. As they sacrifice and talk, they tackle their difficulties. Mary

takes classes in engineering, and even when she requires a special permission from the

city, she becomes an engineer. She handled it perseveringly and I suppose everyone

worked and improved their strengths to provide and aid other people. I'll also speak up on

behalf of my mother for she has encountered similar things while working abroad, and I

am so very proud of her because despite all the talk she still manages to be focused on

trying to provide and at the same time keep me up and going. I salute each end every

single moms out there for being strong and having the hardest job in the world. That is

why we should always learn to understand that they all do this for each and every one of

us.

 Assuming that gender inequality in the workplace is still happening in the present time,

what do you think should be done in order to fight it? Give concrete plans and measures

to alleviate this situation.

 This for me personally is a difficult question because I'm a timid person. But because I’ve
learned a lot about gender equality, so I have to do something, I would try to be who I am

and try to at least talk to the oppressor like I was a friend to bother further naysays. It's a

difficult question for me. I usually do not do these kinds of thigs since I don’t really care

about what others think of me. Or I would always strive to respect and treat other

circumstances like trans accessing the same toilet as what I treat other people to avoid.

 My second plan is that I would just try harder than most of them, I would not want them to

think I am stupid or anything just because I am of a different race or color etc. I would

strive to be the best at my workplace because I want to be the best in what I do.

 I would still respect them for who they are but as I said I would not let them just step me

down just because I was born the way I was. I would not let them do that to me because I

know for myself I have not hurt anyone or said anything bad to them.

 I once thought it wasn't racist before I looked at the film and read this PPT presentation on

gender and the workplace since today, primarily we values movies that make black people

the main character and give us new flavors. However, after viewing a film and reading the

PPT films, I now know how these black people have been an inspiration and

demonstrated their way in handling their challenges, which still relate to gender and racial

prejudice, and how they have marked history in their lives.

 Prior to seeing the movie, I used to assume that the movie is more about your friends or

mostly about a trip of life like romance, as I read the PPT presentation about Gender and
the job. After reading the film, I now think I am telling them a sex role that I think women

would always talk about their romantic side that I don't believe was played in the film. I've

learned several aspects, in particular sexual roles, where women can actually do

engineering and do well in mathematics.

 Most of us felt Math was just for men, but that barrier has to be breached. I know that

gender roles should always be equally important and open to what their talents and what

they want to achieve in life.

 I used to believe the film had nothing to do with the history until I look at the film and read

the PPT presentation on Gender and Workplace. After viewing the video and reading the

PPT show, I now know that it is a true-life movie, and it has something to do with the world

beyond NASA's minds It spoke of the space race between Russia and America and it is

enormous since it was NASA and it was the primary role that paved the way for the

calculations and the astronauts. I respect you because you are inspired because No is

never a final response to your ambitions if you have a desire or ambition!
