PROPOSED WEDDING HALL AND GARDEN DESIGN

RESEARCH

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

The client’s friend referred you for a specific project located in Baler Aurora province.
The project is located near the sea where a panoramic view of the sunset is present. The client
immediately approved the referral and so the project started in no time. A single storey wedding
hall with garden is to be built on a 5000 sq. m (TLA)

Total lot area with rectangular lot with a 50 meter frontage facing East parallel to The
Road Right of Way of 10M wide. The client specified the space requirements for the project:
Main hall will cater a minimum 100 Guests and an option for outdoor dining which will
accommodate a minimum 200 guests with separate Gazebos.

PROJECT SITE FEATURES:

The project is located in a peaceful and quiet place with 50M wide frontage on east side
of the property while a beautiful panoramic view of the sea horizon is visible on the west part of
the property. The site slopes uniformly at 2% towards the road.

SPACE REQUIREMENTS:
As for the space requirements, the project is required to have a designation of the
following spaces below that are categorized within the main hall and outdoor garden:

Main hall
● Main Hall ( Min. 100 person)
● Kitchen for banquet
● Comfort room (Male& Female)
● Sound system room
● Storage room for chairs linen
● & tables.
● Electrical & Mechanical room

Outdoor dining garden

● Gazebo
● Comfort room (Male& Female)
● Outdoor kitchen for buffet
 ● Space for dance area
● concrete floor.
● Space for bar (drinks & spirits)

Proposed design inspiration

Given the detailed description of the site and specific project points, the is proposed that the
overall design of the project is primarily modern architecture blended with styles in order to
achieve a solemn yet not overwhelming ambience which perfectly embraces the natural scenery
present in the site.

other design details and considerations:

MAIN HALL

● Biomimicry architecture is utilized to create a natural ambience within the modern

touches while demonstrating sustainability to benefit the natural elements in the site.The
structure mimics the the form of bracket fungi relative to its function of sheltering
microhabitats that aids the environment towards regeneration.
● utilization of intertwined wires forming an expanding mesh were utilized to provide safe
place creeping plants and ornaments providing natural insulation against the sun and
natural lighting while allowing cool air to pass inside the structure providing cool
ventilation
● furthermore the combination of the oriented vegetation and ornaments gives the overall
appeal towards the aesthetic quality of the hall that elevates the solemn and
sophisticated characteristics of wedding ceremony

ACCOMMODATION
● Parking spaces- the parking spaces have a total of 26 slots having both sides of
the site 13 slots. Assuming that there are 4 people per car the parking area can
accomodate an average total of 104 people
● B.P. accessibility law is also considered in the design process having drop
curves accessible towards both sides of the parking area for that is the only area
which can hinder pwd’s throughout the whole site.
● calculation of fire exits are also considered.

LANDSCAPES
● shrubs trees and flower ornaments are scatter throughout the are to provide
natural heat insulation and aesthetic appeal to accommodate outdoor cater
● comfort rooms are oriented for towards near towards the outdoor banquet and
the main hall to provide easy accessibility towards the most populated area in the
site
● waterscapes are also present to contrast the vast presence of landscapes and
providing balance towards the overall design.
