Paper Making Project

Determining the feasibility of making paper shopping bags from corn stalk and thatching grass. You will
first need to determine the chemical composition (Cellulose, hemicelluloses, lignin, extractives) of
feedstock using standard procedures. The material will then be pulped to determine the pulp yield. Paper
handsheets will then be fabricated the handsheets which will later be tested for strength. Appropriate
paper shopping bags will be manufactured from the handsheets whose. The project should be completed
by 29 July 2022.
