Russian Post has suspended communication with 15 countries. According to the TASS agency with reference to the press service of the company, this decision was made due to the fact
that several states have suspended the processing of international mail, and therefore it is not possible to send international mail there.
The report states that the restrictions apply to Mongolia, Kuwait, Libya, Peru, Moldova, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Cayman Islands, French Polynesia, Lebanon, Philippines, Maldives, Easter
Island, Myanmar and Ecuador.

“All of these countries are temporarily not processing either incoming or outgoing international mail as a result of measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus,” the company said,
promising to resume sending mail after the restriction is lifted.
The Russian Post also noted that so far not a single case of coronavirus infection through sent items has been recorded in the world.
In early February, the World Health Organization reported that coronaviruses do not live long on objects such as letters or parcels. WHO researchers specifically noted that there is no
risk of infection when sending mail messages.
