Assessment 1
(Multicultural Diversity in Workplace)

1. Why is diversity Management considered as an important issue at the

workplace?

Diversity Management is considered an important issue in the workplace because it

has been implemented or done in workplaces before. This is a very important issue
because we know that in a workplace every employee is different, their age, gender,
religion, skin color, beliefs, and many others may be different, but even if there is this
difference, it is resolved in a workplace, because it is important to empower each
employee so that the goals and objectives of a company or workplace can be achieved.

2. How is diversity management managerially and culturally challenging?

Diversity Management is managerially and culturally challenging because we know that

all people are different, maybe in age, gender, sexual orientation, etc. So, this is very
challenging. If you are a manager, you prefer that your employees are like you, you want
everyone to be smart, responsible, or on the same wavelength as you, but it doesn't just
happen. Culturally, we know that every person has a culture or a place where they grew up,
we cannot force them to change what culture or belief they have become aware of.
Therefore, diversity management managerially and culturally is very challenging, so there
must be a workplace where everyone must know how to acknowledge, understand, accept,
value, and celebrate or embrace their employees' differences.

3. What is the basic concept behind the radical view of diversity? Why is it
challenged?

The basic concept behind the radical view of diversity is that each person believes.
Maybe these beliefs are what they grew up with. There is also discrimination in a
workplace because of age or gender. It becomes a challenge because a workplace is
struggling with how they should handle such problems or issues. So, it's important that
everyone in a workplace learns to embrace each other's diversity or differences to be able
to achieve their goals and objectives and to empower their employees.
