CTRLPSB023 – Addition of
Drain Holes to 17KG535 and
17KG537 Air Exhaust Covers
M. Pundzak
I. DESCRIPTION and OBJECT of CHANGE
The objective of this bulletin is to add drain holes to 17KG535 and 17KG537 IGBT air duct
exhaust covers. Four drain holes are added to each cover to allow any water that may
accidentally enter the air duct to drain back out.
WARNING:
Electric shock can cause serious or fatal injury. To avoid such injury,
personnel should take and observe proper precautions when making system
adjustments or performing system or component electrical tests. This
includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that all equipment is de-energized,
including energy storage components such as capacitors.
V. MODIFICATION PROCEDURE
1. Locate the exhaust covers that are at the locations shown in Figure 1.
2. Remove each cover using ½” wrench or socket. Keep all mounting hardware.
3. Drill four 5/16” holes per cover at the locations shown in Figures 2 and 3.
4. Apply touch up paint to the drain holes and allow to dry.
5. Reinstall cover using mounting hardware from Step 2.
