Aplication Engineer (AE) is a role that is the interface between the Engineering team in

offshore business, being part of Customer Support team, and the Sales and Tender team for
any Request for Quotation (RfQ) received for the HALIADE X wind turbine.

The main responsibilities of this role as the only contact point between these two teams are
analyzing the Employer Requirements (ER) received and standards applicable for any
opportunity that is decided to quote.

From this analysis, the AE shall identify:

• any deviation
• the adjustments (customizations) to be done in the product to fulfill the ER
• the cost associated to the customizations
• the cost due to customizations required by standards

These customizations are the Design to Order (DTO) . The DTOs have to be defined following
the corresponding process and the result of it shall be shared with Sales and Tender point of
contact to take it into account in the budget.

From the RfQ analysis the AE will also identify the Features and Accessories (F&A) to be costed
in the budget of the opportunity to send the firm bid, the cost of which are already known.

The AE will be responsible to create for Engineering team’s scope, for every bid the Scope of
Work Matrix, Risk Assessment Matrix (RAMP), Deviation list from ER, cost of the DTOs, F&A
and cost of the standard work of Engineering for the project execution (POH).

The supervision of the technical commercial documentation related to the product and
communication of misalignments to Product Line team are essential tasks within the role. The
AE will work closely with the Tender Manager in order to support clarifications based on
employer requirements in documentation or face to face meetings with client experts and
Technical Due Diligence (TDD).

For this position we are searching an Application Engineer to be the single point of contact
inside the team for the Grid Integration scope of the Haliade -X. Supporting the customer and
the sales and tender team specially in this scope, with direct interaction with Power
Conversion Grid Integration in the engineering team .

SPOC for S&T towards Engineering for each opportunity regarding product scope

DTO creation in the Data base following the DTO process

Coordination of DTO and costing related to Grid Integration

Technical Descriptions of the bid within the Grid Integration scope

Review of the corresponding Grid Codes for the bids identifying critical topics for the product

Interpret the results of wind farm and/or wind turbine electrical simulations done with
softwares such as PSSE, Digsilent Power Factory and/or PSCAD
