On 2nd October 2021, the administration of Special Children’s Trust had a Village Health
Team meeting at the medical centre premises and a total of 7 members turned up.
One of the agendas for this meeting was to inform the communities in and around the
neighbouring villages about the WORLD CEREBRAL PALSY DAY that was happening
on 6th October 2021.
Throughout the week, the V.H.Ts reached out to most of the children with disabilities in their
homes informing them to come to the medical centre for a base line survey for two days (6th
and 7th).
A total of 40 children with both physical and mental impairments turned up for the
assessment. Among those, 6 children were found out to have other health concerns that
needed medical intervention by a specialist despite the fact that their families had financial
constraints.
These children were examined and managed from the medical centre by a Doctor and the
entire medical team and below are their details.
