Hmm. To be honest the new menu is pretty good. I even
asked for more three times.
However, Tia didn't seem to enjoy it that much.
"Why have you been silent all the time? Is the noodle
not that good?”
she just shook her head slightly. Even though her face
was gloomy like that.
"Well that's that then. I want to go home. Bye." I
said as I walked away.
Before I could go far, suddenly a hand grabbed me.
“It's not that it's not bad… it's just that the
portions are too much…”
Ooh… that's how it is. Yeah, that's okay, anyway.
In the midst of this awkwardness, the air around us
suddenly turned cold.
What is it?
“Reno, stand behind me.” she said with her back to me.
Are you serious? I just showed my strength.
"It's great that you're still having fun after such a
huge insult to me."
This voice… Gilbert.
The man who used to look so authoritative with all his
stories, is now walking in front of us coldly.
"Are you still not babbling enough?" said Tia pointing
her fist.
“Shut up, dark elf!” he snapped. "I'm still not done.
My strength is not only that much!” he then reached into
something in his pocket.
I have bad feeling.
He took out a jet black object.
I couldn't see it clearly because it was night. But… I
can feel the power of darkness from there.
While laughing he gripped it with all his might. “Now
you will know the true power of our family!”
Suddenly squeaks and screams echoed around us. So loud
it's deafening.
“Ren, are you all right?” Tia asked while covering her
ears.
"I'm fine. Besides… it doesn't seem good to leave him
like that.”
Sure enough. As long as this echo continued, purple
energy light began to radiate from him.
“I am the successor to the hero John Blizzard! None of
you have as much power and knowledge as I do! There isn't
any!" his voice began to turn heavy and loud like a barrel.
His eyes became sparkling purple. All over his body
began to appear enveloping ice armor. Making him look like
a knight in terrible armor.
That thing… what really happened? Why did it suddenly
feel familiar?
Without saying much, Gilbert immediately lunged.
Without hesitation he floated the ice sword he had made.
Tia didn't budge. Instead she ran towards it while
also swinging a sword made of dark energy.
Wait… dark energy?
The two weapons clashed with each other.
The clinking caused a wave of air that pushed
everything around.
Great.
But… more and more I realized that Gilbert was getting
ahead of Tia's power.
"Tch!"
"What is it? Where is your arrogance that insulted me
earlier? Now you will know the taste of my strength!”
At the last clink, Gilbert forcefully threw away Tia's
weapon and kicked her.
I swiftly caught Tia's body and jumped away. A jet of
jet-purple icy energy arrived and made anything hit by the
explosion freeze instantly.
"Shit.” Tia cursed as she stood up.
"Wait. Not that I want to advise you, but if we
continue there will be problems. One of you could die."
"But he started it." Without thinking about what I
just said, Tia went straight ahead.
This time she started to awaken her fighting senses.
While jumping, her hand made another sword, but from fire.
Gilbert unhesitatingly shot the icy energy towards
Tia.
There was an explosion when they met each other. But
strangely Tia came out of the icy smoke and immediately
lunged at Gilbert.
"Very interesting! Looks like you're no ordinary
college student! Do you know? You are famous because of
past rumors of you being a gang leader!”
Laughing, Gilbert pushed Tia away. Puts some distance
between the two of them and creates a surface full of large
ice crystal spikes.
His reach was so wide that Tia also pushed me back.
"Very funny. The leader of a street gang—a street
person who dreams of becoming a doctor?”
It didn't stop there, Gilbert also created a magic
circle instantly.
"But, because I'm kind. I'm trying to appreciate you.
At first I just wanted to show how smart I am in front of
women with stories and historical knowledge. But, it's
useless. The only thing they see is my physical
attractiveness to them.”
As soon as it touched the surface, the huge crystal
spikes fell off and rose into the sky. Gradually all the
ice chunks coalesce and create larger crystals.
Tia then fired fire magic at the three crystals.
However, nothing happened at all.
"My fire isn't strong enough!" she said while
recharging energy to fire.
“But, you are different. You know that? I just
realized that you're more attracted to people with no
background like him. Bookworms like those who like to watch
cartoons are really disgusting. But, if you want to be in a
relationship with me—I guarantee you, you'll have
everything! So how? Choose me and throw him away!”
As soon as Gilbert's sentence was finished, I myself
had my doubts. Everything he said was true. To be honest,
maybe if I could I really didn't want Tia to feel burdened
for continuing to protect myself…
“What are you talking about? Is that how you express
your feelings to people?” While chuckling, Tia smoothed her
bangs up. “Ridiculous.”
The cold stare that this woman gave instantly sparked
Gilbert's anger.
While shouting, the ice crystals that were already
quite large began to glow and came towards us quickly.
Tia immediately fired the fire energy that she had
gathered.
The collision of the two elements produced thick smoke
and icy fog. Succeed.
However, two other crystals appeared and immediately
shot.
"Shit, there won't be time—"
The explosion finally occurred. Freezing the
surrounding environment filled with icy smoke.
Gilbert laughed happily. He walked over to see the ice
sculpture of the two of us.
"Now you know the consequences of insulting me,
right?" while trying to remove his ice protective helmet.
But, it didn't go away. Even though it had struck with
its own sword, the helmet still hadn't shattered. Instead,
he felt sick.
"What's this?!"
Suddenly a hand came out of the thick smoke and
immediately grabbed his neck.
"Are you satisfied?" I said as I lifted Gilbert up.
Right. I—we didn't freeze.
When I was about to be hit by the two ice crystals, I
immediately grabbed Tia and held her with my own body.
“What are you doing?! How could you still be alive?!”
"Weird, huh? I also want to know why.” although I
actually know why.
Without further ado, I immediately slammed Gilbert
down. Causing his ice armor to start to shatter.
Then picked him up again and punched him hard in the
back.
Immediately I shot towards Gilbert who fired another
massive icy energy. However, I managed to break through and
hit Gilbert's body.
While coughing, this man tried to punch me with all
his strength.
"What are you doing? How can a human be this strong?!”
“Earlier you had trouble removing this helmet, right?
Here, I'll teach you how to do it." I just punched this
thing in the head.
Fist after fist, the headgear that was created from
ice and dark energy began to crumble.
Once I punched again, I could finally see some of his
battered face.
"Shit!!!" Gilbert immediately stabbed his ice sword
into my stomach.
It really hurts. I almost fainted.
“If you still want to punch, your blood will start to
clot and you will die in a ridiculous position!” he
shouted, laughing with satisfaction.
"Reno!" shouted Tia who then ran and stabbed Gilbert
in the chest with her fiery sword.
While screaming in pain, Gilbert cursed us with harsh
words.
"You die!" said Tia coldly.
"Wait, Tia. don't!" I said forbid it even though it
was too late.
But when I looked again, this man didn't die.
What is this?
"Damn it! It hurts so bad, damn it!”
Suddenly his body glowed. In an instant, the two of us
were blown away by the blast of darkness energy that
radiated from Gilbert.
While groaning in pain, the man tried to get up.
Gilbert turned Tia's fiery sword that pierced her
chest into ice.
"What is this?! I C-CAN'T MOVE MY BODY…!!!”
As soon as I looked, something seemed to be
controlling his body.
A dense and great demonic aura.
It was so strong, I had to hold back the burst of
energy with my elbows.
"AAAHHH!!! IT'S HURT!!!" he shouted.
Unbeknownst to us, this fight actually attracted the
attention of the people around here.
Some have even started recording these events live.
They also not forget asked for help to call the security
forces to come here.
Too bad. If so, it could be dangerous.
I don't want myself to be exposed in the media like
this.
However, Gilbert also did not remain silent. Under the
devil's influence, the boy started to create an even bigger
magic circle.
Crazy. this was no longer the level of a novice
sorcerer, but rather a grandmaster.
Gradually, the shattered ice crystals began to fly.
All of them began to merge back into the sky.
And once I realized, instead of creating bigger
crystals but smaller and more numerous shapes.
Right. He intended to flood this area with blood.
“H-HEEEEELLLPP MEEEE…. I-I… it feels…. It's
soooooooooooooooo…. HUUURRTTT!!!”
His tears really flowed.
There seems to be no choice, I have to—
FLAME: Cognition.
Suddenly the ambient temperature immediately changed
drastically. The ice started to melt.
As soon as Gilbert turned around, Tia was already
standing there snapping her fingers.
With a groan, his demon-controlled body then showered
Tia with all the ice crystals.
However, it hasn't arrived yet, everything evaporates
into the air.
With shock and panic, Gilbert rushed forward without a
second thought. Shooting Tia with ice energy continuously.
"Tia! Watch out!"
But her eyes just got sharper.
All those energy shots also evaporated instantly.
In the near future, the two of them will be fighting
each other. Gilbert created a large, thick ice sword.
“AAAGHHHH!!!!”
FLAME: Hell Judge.
I was surprised too.
It's a glimpse, but I can see it. A gigantic hand made
of fire appeared and touched the blade.
In an instant all the gear and ice armor protecting
Gilbert evaporated. Leaving his body still controlled by
the devil.
“HOOOOTTT!!! Please… h-help meeee…!!!”
Damn it. If this goes on, he would actually burned to
death. Tia, you have to…
FLAME: Purification.
Tia came forward and touched Gilbert's forehead.
Withdraw the demonic aura and grip it tightly.
Such a great and deafening moan. Everyone fell
unconscious because of the energy released by this
creature.
"AAAKHHH!!! Y-you… what creature…?! N-no way…. A magic
s-as strong as this can not b-be controlled by a lowly
being like you….!!!”
"Oh, I see? Then disappear." Tia squeezes him harder.
In an instant, that demonic energy burned to ashes and
dissipated into the air.
Here there is only Tia who stands proudly. But, a
power of this magnitude was truly beyond expectation. And
again… those eyes… sharp and cold… intimidating like a
demon lord.

Pile of corpses.
The pool of blood almost devoured the lifeless bodies.
Among them sat a woman with her hands tied to a water
pipe.
Suddenly a loud slap woke her up from the slumber.
"Hey. I told you not to sleep. We are still kind… but
we also have a limit to our patience.” said a goblin
pointing a dagger engraved with runes.
The woman coughed.
She seemed to be trying to close her mouth even though
she had to accept the various kinds of pain that was
happening now.
"Gardyk, it's useless. We won't get any information if
we use this method." said a female dark elf in the corner
of the room.
She sat looking at the data they had taken and
displayed holographically through the transmitter.
"So what do you want me to do? Oh… yes, right. Why am
I only thinking about it now…?”
Gardyk looked back at this woman.
Slowly he began to grin as he watched the entangled
dark elf's body.
"You're sure about this, are you? After all, she's
also your kind, Loselyne."
"Just do it. His Majesty needs that information
urgently. Have some professionalism, goblin.” Loselyne said
sarcastically.
Gardyk laughed with satisfaction. "Okay! Are you still
not going to talk, sister? Well… like it or not… you'll say
it. So… here it is!” The goblin immediately plunged his
dagger into the nun's stomach.
Instantly, the dark elf's eyes shone with darkness.
She started moaning in pain and gasping for air.
She grimaced. Slowly she started to say “P-please
stop…!”.
Screamed and then started begging for forgiveness.
However, Gardyk plunged the dagger deeper.
The woman screamed more and more, rebelling.
“W-wait… W-I,,,I deeelll…fouuuu…! P-please… Stop
it!!!” tears, snot, and spit flowed as if her body was
filled with water.
Loselyne started walking towards the two of them.
She gripped the nun's cheek roughly.
"Where is he? Where is the person who is the
reincarnation of Ouroboros, your God?”
Grimacing, the nun tried to answer.
“…U-univvverzidiiiyy… Coongbbbeeexxx…!!!”
"Gardyk. Turn it off." Loselyne then left them.
"Serious? It's still fun though!"
Suddenly Loselyne's smartphone rang.
"Huh? Is it that person?" asked Gardyk.
Loselyne immediately showed an uncomfortable face. She
hasn't even opened her cell phone yet, she just kicked the
wall beside her until it crumbles.
"Hey, do you want to answer it or not? He keeps
ringing, interrupting my fun here!”
Regardless of Gardyk's intentions, the woman finally
answered the call.
"What?"
"Whoa! Don't be like that, please! I just wanted to
say hi to you guys…” His voice was a little hoarse, but
then it also became heavier.
“We don't have time! Quickly say what you need! His
Majesty is waiting for us!” Loselyne clearly hated the
person in this cell phone conversation.
It was as if the veins were visible all over her face.
However, the figure only laughed.
“Okay, okay… calm down. I have good news for you. Now
it would be a good opportunity if you came straight here.”
“Just straight to the point!” snapped Loselyne.
"Ah, you're such a jerk. Yes alright. Currently,
Ouroboros is in critical condition. He's in the Convex
medical clinic."
Loselyne immediately glanced at Gardyk.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" of course the
goblin was confused.
"How long will it take for him to recover?" Loselyne
asked back at the person on the phone.
“Hm… let's see… an estimate with such a severe wound…
yes, a day.” he explained casually.
Loselyne immediately widened her eyes.
She immediately turned off the phone without further
ado.
The communication between them and the figure was
finally cut off.
"Gardyk! I told you to turn it off! We don't have much
time!”
"Did you really understand what he was saying? I just
don't understand, lol! Also, what did that person say?"
“Convex. Medical clinic, at Convex University."
Loselyne immediately rushed to leave the two of them.
Gardyk begin to understand, but he was still
disappointed to have end his entertainment here.
"Okay! Goodbye, sister…”
Instantly the rune alphabet on the dagger lit up
brightly. Dark energy appeared that began to eat away at
this woman's body.
Gardyk immediately went to follow Loselyne and they
left this place.
The secret monastery, the Circle of Ouroboros is dead.
***
Bright ceiling.
Instantly I can breathe fresh air again, plus the
window opens directly into the garden.
“Wow, you… recovered quickly, didn't you?” said Mr.
Rinegerald.
Nodding, he then did an analysis of my health with his
Observe ability.
"Yes. you're really getting better. I wonder… even
though there is nothing in your body that can heal itself.”
“But, I remember Tia cast a Full Recovery spell.”
“Still, that magic can't completely heal a creature.
Full Recovery only restores stamina, eliminates wounds and
injuries on the outside. Yes… there is, it can get to the
inside, but… it's high-level magic. While Tia has not
reached that level at all. That means… there is your
metabolism that helps make that happen.”
I'm not surprised to hear that explanation.
Right. Indeed, the mechanism is on me automatically
and cannot be detected with even the top ranked Observe
ability.
Besides… yesterday's fight was kind of crazy. Due to
my condition that doesn't have full power yet, the
regeneration is slow.
"Oh yes. Where's Surya?" I asked directly.
"Oh, Mr. Surya? He lay there. There's also Mr. Gilbert
Blizzard over there." Mr. Rinegerald also showed Surya fast
asleep on the medical bed and Gilbert on the bed next to
him.
"Gilbert? Why with that person?” I asked confused.
“Yesterday, it seemed that Mr. Blizzard had also
participated in the bullying. I don't know why, but we
found him unconscious and injured."
Is this Gilbert still not tired yet?
"Yeah, but I'm thankful you're all still alive."
Well, maybe it's best if I don't get it wrong just
yet. I hope that person has come to his senses.
“Reno, I want to ask you a few things, is it okay?”
Instantly his face became serious.
What is this bad feeling?
Despite my doubts, I finally agreed.
"Okay. You don't have to answer if you don't want to,
but… it's very much related to you.”
"What do you mean?"
“I saw your fight against Krusnik. To me… it's a bit
out of line. I mean… Krusnik was skilled in physical magic
which allowed him to be both a shield and an attacker.
Physical magicians are indeed special among other magicians
because they can also control the temperature of the
environment, attacking without fear of dodging. But… you
aren't, are you?”
“Y-yes…?”
“During registration, what did you write about your
magic on the form?”
What did I write then?
I don't remember myself.
"You forgot? Hm… yeah, you didn't write anything down
either, anyway.” he said, showing the holographic screen of
the transmitter.
There is also some data from Convex students. Right.
Mr. Rinegerald also holds an administrative position for
prospective students who wish to enroll in this campus.
"Oh. Is it mandatory? I don't think it was recommended
at the time."
"Required. This helps the campus to monitor students.
However, there seem to be some exceptions, so you are not
obligated.”
“You mean, when analyzing magic through the crystal
ball?”
Mr. Ringerald nod.
Before entering any magic university, it is mandatory
to do magic analysis through magical crystal balls. That
way, the campus can find out the status of the strengths,
weaknesses, and abilities of the students. Fortunately, the
education system in this world is no longer racist to those
who do not have magical energy, such as Surya. So that they
can still get the same education guarantee according to
their interests.
Mr. Rinegerald took off his glasses and looked at me
seriously.
"Reno. your magic…no. Your power comes from The Void,
right?” he whispered.
Wow. I don't know how to express myself.
"Can you be more specific why do you think like that?"
“The Voids. it was a very rare power and could not be
possessed by ordinary beings. Yes... you can't, really.
Because the only ones who can control the power itself are
the primordials, gods.”
Hmm.
"What does the magical crystal ball analysis read
about me?"
“Unknown. It means that it is indescribable and
unreadable by even the most sorcerer.”
It is true. The power of The Void cannot be read in
any world and universe. If it is finally readable, the
analytical media will immediately shatter into pieces
without anyone having time to read it.
"If I answered correctly, what would you do?" My face
also turned serious.
Unpleasant auras. I don't know why I have to be wary
of him.
"Oh. Okay, if that is the case."
What?
"You mean?"
“Well, that's that then. What can I do? I'm just
curious, because after your fight against Krusnik, you can
still move freely.
This… isn't what I expected.
“Oh, that explains why you recovered so quickly. The
Void instantly 'empties' all the impact it had on you!”
explained this man.
“You…are acting?”
"Woah! I know why you think I'm acting in order to
take advantage of your power, right? Seriously. I don't
care about taking advantage of someone's power like that.
Instead, I strongly advise you to keep your power hidden so
that no one can take advantage of it."
"Why?"
Actually I already know the answer. If other beings
can harness and use the power of The Void, even though they
are not the rightful owner… then, they will…
“If they manage to take full advantage of you, then
your power will be taken away. You are replaced by them.
Correct.
However, in order to do that, the being must
completely achieve one 100% synchronization. Even if it’s
already 99 percent, the sync will be fail.
"Understood.”
"Well, that's that then. You can still rest. Take good
care of your body." Mr. Rinegerald then left the clinic.
Yesterday's events were starting to make no sense.
Demon. Uoloc is also present and appears from hell.
Then… even though it's faint, I can smell the same aura
from William during yesterday's fight.
And… Tia.
The longer I can smell the powerful demonic aura from
her.
***
"This is your favorite noodle." she said as she put a
box of chicken noodles on the table beside the bed.
"Thank you. How about Surya?"
"Don't worry about him. He deserves a beating like
that.”
"Eh, Oi! Why don't you feel sorry for your brother?"
Surya shouted from behind the patient curtain.
"Why would I waste my pity on you?" Tia replied as she
put down a cup of warm coffee.
Surya was getting angrier and angrier. He grimaced as
he continued to curse.
"Hello, everyone... are you all right?"
Suddenly Gilbert appeared with a stick and bandages
covering almost his entire body.
At once Tia and I were alert.
This person yesterday was said to have been involved
in Surya's bullying. If so... I don't think threatening him
is really enough.
"Ah, you! Thank you. thank you for your help
yesterday. Because of you, I have an extension of life!"
Surya immediately greeted Gilbert while doing fake crying.
So... he helped Surya?
"Ah, no. Only now I realize because of you, Reno."
Me?
"For sure, from now on I don't want to be an asshole
anymore and that's thanks to you, Tia. I'm sorry for my
attitude at that time."
Tia just put on a smug face while nodding.
"So? What would you do? Now you too have been dumped
by William's group. I don't know what they're going to do
now, but the problem is you.”
His image was damaged yesterday. The womens may have
turned away from him, even though he is still 'handsome'.
Now he can only 'wander' alone. But, I don't want him to be
a problem anymore.
"Then… may I be your friend?"
Uh?
"Of course-!
“—Why should we make you our friend? How can we
believe that what you did yesterday was just a gimmick?”
said Tia spicy.
"Oh my holy ear! This guy really saved me, you know!
He even really made enemies with that Corvorado Lord and
was hit by his attack!” explained Surya.
But, Tia was right. It's also possible that he was
just acting.
His pride at that time was also damaged because he did
not accept what Tia said.
“I… don't know how to get you to believe me either.
But, from now on I don't want to just give up. After I felt
lost to you two, I realized that… I don't know everything.”
Gilbert Blizzard, born into a famous family. John
Blizzard, the hero of the revolutionary struggle against
the Xavieron Empire. Maybe because he felt he carried his
great-grandfather's name, he thought that he was the chosen
one. As if he knew about history.
"That's why, even though I haven't been accepted yet,
from now on I will try to change my way of thinking."
Then he turned to Tia with a serious look.
"And, Tia. Even though you have rejected me, my
feelings for you are true. So, I don't want to give up on
you."
Wow…
I didn't expect that.
Did he just say he liked her?!
For a moment, Surya was surprised. While glaring at
Gilbert, he put his arm around the boy.
“You… like this demon girl?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"
unexpectedly he laughed with satisfaction, until a fist
flew straight into his head.
Surya fell asleep again in his bed.
"Sorry. But I'll be honest with you, now I have
someone."
Gilbert was surprised. “Wh-who…?”
A finger had touched my cheek.
Tia pointed at me shamelessly in front of Gilbert.
Oh…
Don't be like that, he'll be disappointed later…
“Is that so, huh?” Gilbert just laughed bitterly. "As
I thought, even though you guys have been close all this
time, I'm not sure because there's no romantic closeness
between you two..."
"We're romantic." said Tia confidently.
“Even so… can I still hope?”
"I suggest not."
Tia's words clearly hit Gilbert hard.
Slowly he started to get sad. However, suddenly a
positive aura emanated from him that might almost dazzle my
eyes.
“Huh… geez. So this is what it feels like to be
rejected outright.” the boy laughed bitterly again. "Thank
you, Tia. I'm so relieved. Reno, thank you too!”
"Yes."
I didn't do anything though.
But, I'm happy because the positive aura is not
acting. He had just come to terms with the harsh reality of
his life.
Gilbert Blizzard, the man who was reborn. Looks like
he really has accepted himself as he is. I think from now
on we will often greet each other.
***
I yawned widely.
Today was really tough. I have to study subjects that
I don't like.
"Why did they include the concept of alchemy in this
major, anyway?"
I just don't feel like walking towards the campus
building.
With eyes trying to open their lids, I suddenly bumped
into someone. We both fell and there was a sound like rocks
falling hard so my eyes immediately popped out.
"Oh, Eka! Are you okay?" shouted a woman behind him.
As soon as I saw it, a lot of rocks fell.
Not ordinary stones, these are runes.
"Ah, yes I'm fine Marlene. Ah, are you all right…?” he
tried to pull me up too.
"Oh, yeah I'm fine. Sorry for bumping into you."
He just laughed bitterly as he said, “Ah, no problem.
It's natural to be sleepy when you wake up in the morning."
That's right.
"Eka! Quick! We have to prepare this first!”
"Oh, that's right!" this man named Eka immediately
took the box and put all the rune stones into it.
“Okay… er….”
Why?
His face seemed to expect something from me. Smiling
vaguely and slightly suspiciously.
"By the way, my name is Eka. I'm majoring in master
magical medicine."
"I'm Reno." reply me.
"Okay, Reno. Sorry for bumping into you and see you at
Convest tommorow!”
He went with Marlene.
Even though it's a bit far, I can hear Marlene say,
"Eka, you shouldn't be the one apologizing for crashing."
Unique human.
Earlier, he said from magical medicine. Does that mean
he's in the same class as Tia?
"What are you daydreaming about?" suddenly Tia has
appeared beside me out of nowhere.
Of course, my body was immediately shocked.
"There isn't any. Oh yes. Tia, is there a guy in your
class named Eka?”
"Eka?...hm."
Besides… that's right, it's going to be Convest
tommorow.
An annual festival that is always held by Convex to
show the development of all majors with their respective
expertise. Or, as a ceremonial festival to welcome those
newcomers in this education facility.
"Ah, if it's true that Eka is who you mean, there
really is. He's the head of my major. In addition, he will
also be on the medical committee at Convest tommorow.” Tia
explained.
Oh, I see. No wonder he looks busy.
"I just ran into him."
Tia with a cold face, a bit surprised to hear my
words.
"Reno." she immediately grabbed my shoulder with her
strength. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”
What happened? Why is this girl so serious?
“W-why so? Not really. We just bumped into each other,
then introduced ourselves and just walked away. Well… it
was my fault too, I bumped into him.”
She just blinked.
Instantly she was back to normal.
Although she always seems cold and serious, Tia is a
caring person. So, I'm not surprised.
"What is going on?" I asked again slowly.
“Eka is famous for the 'Smilling Killer', even though
he smiles at you every day, but in class, he is always
serious. When it comes to medical, he always tells us not
to mess with other people's safety."
"Well, good, right?"
“The problem is when he says that… with a cold smile.
Even though his tone is friendly, we in the same class know
that behind his bright face there is a 'killer air' when we
play games.”
Hmm. I don't see anything wrong, really.
"Of course. We can't play with people's life.
Especially your major is medical. Of course, I think… he
wants all of you in class to be the best.” I think I
understand what Eka means.
But, the smile I received earlier felt didn't have any
bad intention, really.
I think it's a genuine smile.
"Wait, why did he get a nickname like that?"
Tia thought hard again. But, in the end, she also
didn't know why Eka could be like that.
Suddenly we fell silent.
With full glances as we walked, Bram past us alone.
We stared at each other seriously, until finally he
actually passed us.
What was the guy doing?
He did not go to the campus building for lectures, but
to the administration room.
"Reno, come on." said Tia while pulling my shoulder.
I hope this problem is really solved, even though I
know the reality is not that easy.
William comes from a famous family, of course it will
not be easy to accept a bitter defeat.
I have to prepare for the worst.

Lively.
The new students immediately visited the various
booths and shops that had been prepared.
However, the first step to enter this festival is to
register themselves.
Through the vision and analysis of the magic crystal
ball, the campus can record and find out the amount of
energy capacity of each person, including the elements they
use.
Furthermore, these new students will be directed to
the administrative counter, which consists of ten. The data
collection of majors is carried out as well as
specialization in the use of magic.
Once finished, the group immediately participated in
enlivening the festival.
"Hm ... it turns out that there are also many students
who enter. Do you think the same applies elsewhere?” asked
a man in a black robe.
"Yes. Even though it's not the same campus, this has
become an annual ceremonial event in every country."
On the side there is a woman in the same dress who has
been glancing here and there. No one know what she looking
between this group, until finally, it was their turn in
front of the magic crystal ball.
The woman pointed her hand at the object and a screen
appeared. a holographic display that shows the number ten
thousand and blood.
No one notices it, because no one can see it. The
holographic display can only be seen by the status owner
himself and the campus screen.
"Come on." she said coldly.
They walked towards the administration counter.
"Welcome! Please choose the direction listed—"
As if frozen, suddenly the administration woman
couldn't move.
"This is what you are going to tell us: Please have
fun. ”
Instantly her body moved back to normal, but her gaze
was blank,
"Please have fun."
As soon as the two figures left, the woman was
cheerful again, as if she had been hypnotized.
"What happened just now?"
Ignoring the administration woman's confusion, they
walked casually.
However, the woman's eyes kept glancing back and
forth.
"Isn't this too much? How can we know his whereabouts
among this many people?"
“That person said that he had someone like a lover.”
"So we're going to lure him by holding his girlfriend
hostage?"
"No. In fact, that woman is much stronger.”
The man was a bit surprised.
“Ha, so weak. So what are we going to do? We don't
know which one anyway."
But the woman just stayed silent and walked with her
back to him.
"I know how."
They ended up walking towards the back of the Convex
administration building. There is an exercise room that
becomes a medical ward.
"Now what?"
Without further ado, a hand directly touched the man's
back from behind.
Instantly he was sucked in.
"Ah! Y-you!...Damnnn… You... Lose…” the man finally
fell and passed out.
"Excuse me! Please… my friend…!”
In a state of panic, she dragged the man's body.
Medical personnel immediately directed her to the
patient's bed at the end.
"What happened?"
"I do not know! Suddenly he fell!”
They also began to check his blood pressure which was
very low. Even the heart beats very small.
Various ways were carried out with medical magic, but
the results were always to no avail. Until finally they
decided to call someone else.
"Bet! Call Tia! Looks like she knows what to do! Can
you wait a moment?"
"Yes, that's alright."
Finally two people left the medical ward. Leaving
someone in charge of guarding this place.
As they left, the woman then removed her touch from
the man's body. Unbeknownst to them, someone who guard the
room had approached them.
"Sorry, What major are you taking?" she asked
carefully.
“Ah, that… magical medicine too.”
"Wow, that means you'll be my junior! Let me introduce
myself, I'm Marni!” the girl offered her hand lightly.
The woman finally joined in greeting Marni.
"I'm Loselyne."
“Wow, what a name!”
"Yes. this is the only name my parents gave me.”
“Hm… is there anything else? Aren't our names the only
thing our parents gave us?"
Loselyne looked somewhat surprised.
"Hmm? Why?"
"Ah no. It's just that in my hometown, we got a lot of
nicknames, including parents."
"Oh I see. I just knew that. Where did you come from?”
She was silent again.
Her lips seemed to want to speak, but she didn't.
"Ah, if you don't want to talk, that's fine. Don't
force it. At first it was hard for me to say because the
place where I came from was so isolated.”
Loselyne looked at her with a somewhat pitying look.
“Sorry, but… why are you asking me wirh softly talk
like this?”
The question suddenly silenced Marni.
With a small laugh, Marni said, “Why? I just wanted to
talk to you! I'm bored anyway. During college I didn't have
really close friends, only Tia. Tia was the one who invited
me to meet new people. She was the first time to talk to me
like this!"
She was like smoldering.
Her dark past has now become bright.
“Aren't you afraid because your races are different?”
asked Loselyne somewhat doubtfully.
"Different? Who cares? I'm happy to be friends with
Tia, because she is willing to help me at any time! In
fact, when she said she was dating Reno, Tia still often
confided with me.” her face now looks red with those
glasses.
As if she was hit by something very new. Loselyne was
no longer as cold as she should have been.
“Oh, right! How about we just be friends? From now on,
you, me, and Tia will be friends! It doesn't matter just
because you're a dark elf! Tia is the same! We can be
friends forever!”
That shining smile seemed to start to eat away at
Loselyne. Although not clearly visible, her cheeks seemed
to be red.
"Then, I—"
Before the dark elf finished speaking, she suddenly
saw blood flowing from Marni's mouth.
However, she still smiled. Her eyes were closed, but
her body didn't fall once.
“Ah, how troublesome! Damn you, dark elf!” shouted the
man lying down.
As soon as Loselyne looked back, this goblin had
returned to normal.
"So this is your plan? Make me sick first, so I can
get the prey? What a sly woman! You made me bait, you
idiot!”
Loselyne returned to face Marni, who had died with a
dagger drawn.
Her warm face instantly turned cold again.
She stood looking down at Marni.
"Gardyk. We have to hide."
"What? Why—"
Without further ado, Loselyne pulled Gardyk to a
hidden place in the room.
Before long, someone entered from the direction of the
door.
"Marni, where is the person?" Tia walked towards the
corner of the room.
In her view, Marni just sat quietly without taking her
eyes off the empty bed.
"Marni?" Tia grabbed Marni's shoulder and turned her.
Her eyes widened at the blood-smilling face. Her eyes
didn't open anymore.
"Marni? What the..."
Instantly her body froze.
From behind her, Gardyk appeared, walked over to
Marni, and took the dagger that had been stuck in her body.
Tia was getting angrier. However, she couldn't do
anything about it.
"The plan has changed a bit." said Loselyne.
Then she twisted all parts of Tia's body with her
magic, until she died stiff.
"What has changed?"
"Take the silver cup in the secret room."
Gardyk was a bit surprised.
"Oh? What are you going to do? This is the first time
you've ever wanted to use that guy's weapon."
"Tch! We'd better use it since he stupidly told us
that himself."
Loselyne also recalled the events of last night when
they were contemplating a plan to infiltrate Convest.
In the midst of their contemplation, her smartphone
rang.
As soon as she picked it up, an annoying laugh sounded.
"So what? Have you guys thought about what you're going
to do?"
"Tch! We already know. Now, what do you want? Our plan
is perfect." snapped the dark elf in annoyance.
"Wow… calm down. It's not that I want to spoil your
plans, it's just that… I have a little help in launching
your plans ..."
Gardyk immediately became curious compared to Loselyne.
"What help do you mean?"
The mysterious figure laughed around and said, "My
silver cup is in a room that almost no one ever touches.
However, a human boy named William Corvorado uses it as a
base for his friends. Well… now they don't visit it again
after being defeated by Ouroboros.”
"Silver… cup? Where is it located?" Gardyk asked
quickly.
Loselyne wanted to get rid of this goblin too, but it
seemed like it would be a good thing if they heard it a
little more.
"All you need to do is go to..." That night, just as it
was raining in the city.
They listened to the location and directions to the
silver cup treasure that the person on the phone was talking
about.
"How? It's an addition to my help with your plan. This
will make it easier for you to find Ouroboros..."
Gardyk smiled, but Loselyne acted otherwise.
"No need. Just go to hell." without further ado, she
immediately turned off the communication network with the
figure.
"What are you doing? This will be a golden opportunity
for us!”
"Tch! Do you realize that person is using us too? Using
that cup is tantamount to worshiping it!”
"Ha?! You think I care? The most important thing is
that I want to be able to torture them to my heart's
content! Only that! And again, this guy's plan is even more
brilliant! Just imagine! Don't you want a lot of blood?"
Gardyk's words felt even more true. Loselyne also
became a little hesitant even though she was annoyed. But
her stance remains. She refused the figure's offer.
Until now…
“Hurry up! I will start taking care of all those
creatures slowly.” Loselyne walked out of the medical ward.
Gardyk smiled before he finally disappeared, leaving
also the gym room which left two helpless female figures.

“Father…”
I have no strength… suddenly my knees go weak.
As soon as the creature pulled the sword from father's
head… I didn't even react.
The first thing I realized was… the figure of this
being who is even stronger than the demon lord.
I'm scared.
However, as soon as I turned around, the sword was
again in front of me. The creature also said something that
made me even more confused…
But… for some reason that just triggered emotions in
me.
Full of anger… I wasn't even sure I was who I was at
the time. The next thing I knew…
“I see, huh… you've made up your mind about your
choice. That's why you're brave."
That sentence… came from the being who destroyed
Theras. I don't know what to call it… god. An evil god.
That's what I believed at the time.
After the big battle was finally over, I just sat
there staring at my father's body.
The energy was completely gone. It was as if it had
been sucked out.
My thoughts were still not correct. Until finally the
priests and father's subordinates came and enthroned me as
lord of the Theras land, and so the underworld.
Their reasoning was quite simple. Because I had killed
Ouroboros.
Without any sympathy in words of condolences, they
don't care about my feelings.
The gods even leave the surface just like that.
This power and authority doesn't fill my empty heart
at all. Even though I rebuild Theras and those creatures
life... I still feel empty
I threw that weapon far away. Lose it from the sight
of my eyes. I would never want to keep the thing that
killed my father.
Until one day...
"What is it, Borlen?" I asked Borlen the librarian.
"Ah, this? Oh my… this is an old book… let me check it
out."
He briefly checked the contents of all the sheets in
the bundle of papers.
“Oh… my goodness…”
“What is it?”
"Your Majesty, maybe this can be an additional insight
for you about events of the past."
"What do you mean? Explain to me briefly."
At first, Borlen was a little hesitant because of our
difference in status, but I dared him.
"In the past... humans and serpent were eternal
enemies. Humans are symbolized by beings who will reach the
process of perfection, while serpents are symbols of
demons.
For hundreds of centuries, human and snake have fought
each other while supervised by the Truest. The battle is
never-ending, until one day, the Supreme True decides to
change.
The Supreme Truth changes the concept in life for both
of them. In the process, the self asks, do serpent really
have to be demon and human to be perfect?
From there, the serpent said it opinion, that it only
wanted the peace that the Most Righteous gave to this
universe. On the other hand, the man said that he liked it
when the world was no longer inhabited by the serpent and
he was alone with the Truest.
Finally, The True One decided to give each of them a
meaning in life. The serpent was finally given a home,
which resides with the Truest and is given the task of
maintaining peace in the entire universe. It is given
endless life and will continue to serve the circle of life.
Its name became Ouroboros.
Just like the serpent, the man is given a home in
every stars and moons, and surfaces. He must maintain peace
and thus man can achieve the perfection he desires. He will
continue to produce unlimited offspring and they will
worship the One by various names. For himself, he would be
known by one name, Menoth.
For hundreds of centuries, universal life was finally
realized. However, it was never thought that most of the
human descendants actually deviated from their proper
duties.
Menoth apparently still couldn't let go of Ouroboros.
With that, he kept trying to disturb the peace of
Ouroboros. Killing creatures that are not human.
Knowing this, Ouroboros finally served Menoth. For
hundreds of centuries, they fought again, until they
finally understood how to kill each other.
Ouroboros cut off Menoth's head and ate it deeply.
Removes Menoth's life essence from the universe. However,
the Most Righteous One actually resurrected him in the hope
of fulfilling his duty. In the end, the two creatures
fought each other in different forms.
All the disasters that occur in this universe are
finally imposed on Menoth as one of the causes of chaos
fragment. And that is only for fighting Ouroboros.”
I can only be silent. Borlen also became difficult to
say words.
What's this?
I've never known anything like this…
Did father know?
"Since when did this story exist?"
“Hm… judging by the cover… this book was written since
the time of the Primordial Devil's reign. More precisely
when Azazel's name is still reverberating throughout the
underworld.” Borlen explained.
"What?"
Since the time of the Demon King Azazel? But… that
means 600 million years ago… wait… then this book…
“Borlen… didn't you feel anything when you opened this
book earlier?”
“Oh, when Your Majesty is talking about seals, the
energy was already transferred in the time of Demon King
Morax. Hence, now it can be found in libraries like this.”
I was surprised. But thankfully the magic has been
transferred.
Notes. The problem now wasn't about the magic that
sealed the book, but…
Suddenly the library door slammed loudly.
A shot of dark energy was fired at us. Luckily I
pushed Borlen away, so he survived.
“Wow, well… what is the Demon Queen Egaria doing in a
place like this? You didn't come to read did you?" said the
figure who then appeared in front of us.
"Jah'im! Do you realize what you have done here?” I
growled.
“Ah, Your Majesty, I'm sorry. That's how I realized,
that your government is now really threatening all life in
the underworld!”
Suddenly, three shadows of other figures appeared
behind him. Zahab, Musrik, and Fitana.
That's right, they were no ordinary underworld
higher-ups. They were the former djinn kings under the
reign of the Demon King Bhemoth.
“We are really keeping an eye on you, father and
daughter. You both stupid!" Zahab said.
“Peace with Theraz? It's ridiculous." chirps Fitana.
“Therefore, Demon Queen Egaria… today is the day for
new powers in the underworld.” said Musrik while pointing
his palm at me.
"Today, you will die and be reborn as the new
government's pet dog." After declaring his revolution,
Jah'im immediately swung his silver spear here.
I quickly dodged. Leaving the library wall split and
then replying to the swing with a snap of a finger.
Instantly, Jah'im was blown away until almost his
entire body fell into the wall.
Then, reflexively I pulled my head back slightly,
waiting for the energy shot to pass me.
Glancing at Musrik, I gripped his body with my astral
hand. Crush him so he can't move. Now only Zahab and Fitana
are left.
As soon as I looked at the two of them, I was
wide-eyed.
Even though it wasn't visible, I could tell that
Borlen's lips were touching each other's with Fitana's. My
only demon librarian friend was sucked up by one of the
genie kings.
I didn't scream, even though I wanted to. But…
“Ah. it's really delicious. So this is what it's like
to be a librarian of the underworld. Now that I know, how
to touch you Demon Queen, Egaria…”
Her body suddenly disappeared.
As soon as I realized the energy of her existence, I
immediately swung my palm with the highest level of
sharpness.
“Huh… you missed!”
My body stopped. Can not move. Leaving only my
eyeballs looking down.
“Oh, how unfortunate and ridiculous is your fate, O
Demon Queen. Died just because I tried once to take your
heart. It's really sad."
As soon as she squeezed it to pieces, my legs went
limp. I feel like I'm starting to lose consciousness.
In front of the view, I could see four pairs of legs
standing.
“Seems like this is the end of your reign… congrats on
being our pet dog…” I could feel Zahab having lowered the
tip of his sword above my head.
In this moment, time seemed so slow. I also remembered
the words of my father.
“One day you will rule this world. Being a lord alone
is not easy. What you need is strengths as your strengths
and weaknesses as motivation to expand your strengths. If
you understand this, one day you will truly become a great
Demon Lord.”
What are my strengths and weaknesses? I've been living
in my father's shadow all this time. I wanted to be like my
father, unconsciously the thought locked me in an invisible
prison.
What does it mean that thought becomes my weakness?
Instantly, I felt tremendous energy from within. It
was so great, it brought me back to my senses. And quickly,
I threw the four of them up hard.
Right… that thought limited my potential. Now, I can't
do that.
As soon as I realized, my hand was already gripping
Ouroboros' weapon. Although a little reluctant, there seems
to be no other choice.
“W-what happened… I crushed your heart…!”
“You think I need something like that? I am the Demon
Lord. I alone is the heart.”
This weapon then glows. As if channeling it energy to
me.
Quickly, I raised my index finger up.
While staring coldly into their eyes, I smiled.
“Disappear into soulless dust.”
With that, I bent my index finger and quickly torn
their body apart. Their entire limbs fell off and began to
disappear into dust grains. And their souls also began to
crumble, until in the end leaving only a grain of dust that
would disappear in one blow.
I… really did it.
This weapon also began to extinguish.
My body went limp again. While lying on the floor… I
could only stare at the beautiful sky of Theraz.
Oh, I see. I guess dying while looking at a scene like
this isn't bad either.
Though… even though I finally found out the truth. But
I had to pay a heavy price… so much that I couldn't share
it with anyone else.
And again… this Ouroboros weapon that I'm holding…
slowly turns to dust as well.
“Father, I will join you soon…” With that… I gave up
and started to close my eyes.
"Join? Where to, O Demon Lord?” Suddenly a man's voice
was heard clearly beside me.
The eyes immediately widen. Silver eye, grimacing
menacingly. In front of me is a human figure holding a
silver cup in his right hand.
“You look beautiful, but you also seem pitiful to a
ruler of the underworld and Theraz. Hmm… did you know? It's
true you've reached the truth and that's a very high price,
that you can't tell anyone else. Your philosophy is
awesome!”
His smile is so sly. This is the first time I have
felt such horror. What is this feeling of fear?
“But… if you want to catch up with your father… you'll
have to die at the hands of Ouroboros… too bad you killed
him… you're so cruel…”
I gasped. Suddenly his palm had penetrated my neck.
“That's why… let me own your soul…” while laughing, he
brought his face closer.
“Have fun… Egaria… in the new world…”
Darkness slowly began to envelop me.
Slowly lead me to a strange hole of light. As soon as
I realized… I was already in a clear place. The air is so
strange… fresh…
…
Noisy voices. I could only hear the sound of crying.
The voices of two people calling “Tia” repeatedly in a
language I don't understand while showing their smiles.
And…
“Surya… this is your sister, Tia.”
A red-haired dark elf boy then came over to me. Slowly
his lips began to curl up and show his teeth.
“Welcome… Tia.”
