BASE FROM OUR LESSON, IS MAN CAPABLE OF KNOWING GOD? HOW?

CITE
AN EXAMPLE WHETHER PERSONAL OR FROM OTHER STORIES THAT YOU
HEARD.

As I’ve reviewed back the lesson entitled “Man’s Capacity for God” I realized that
we as human being are capable of knowing God. It is stated in the lesson that we are
created in God's image and called to know and love him. This means that if we seek
God’s presence, we can discover ways of coming to know him. We become curious more
about his existence and to know more about him. There are proofs we can comprehend
that there is truly a God in the sense of converging and convincing arguments. Men are
capable of knowing God when there is faith. Furthermore, by responding he responds to
his message and follows the scriptures. Thomists, a philosopher said that “men can know
God by divine revelation and the correct use of reasoning.” I on the other hand believe
that we are capable of knowing God through his scriptures, message, and wonderful
creations. But far greater than that is to have faith. Based on my experience, I know God’s
presence when I am reading his scripture and message. The feeling of being immersed
and enlightened by his words is true. I seek God for many reasons, I know Him because
I have faith. I strongly trust that what states in the scriptures is cyclical and will surely
happen. Another experience is from my friend she said no because man cannot and will
not fathom God. Let's say for example King Solomon the wisest of them all, with all the
wisdom he had he failed to truly know God. But then Jesus came, and here's the best
part. God himself, revealed himself to mankind. Allowing a man to know Him. In simple
terms, man cannot know God alone. It is by the help of God; can a man truly knows
God. Furthermore, “man's faculties make him capable of coming to a knowledge of the
existence of a personal God. But for man to be able to enter into real intimacy with him,
God willed both to reveal himself to man, and to give him the grace of being able to
welcome this revelation in faith so the proofs of God's existence, however, can predispose
one to faith and help one to see that faith is not opposed to reason.
