My name is Muskan Purohit and I am pursuing my B.Tech course in Ocean Engineering and Naval
Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, currently in my third year. I am
highly interested in interning at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS) in the
field of Software Engineering.

During my course of study, I was deeply engrossed in the working and utilization of programming
and algorithms. To satiate my interest, I also took up short term online courses on Algorithms, by
professor Kevin Wayne, Princeton University (Coursera), Divide and Conquer, Sorting and
Searching, and Randomized Algorithms, by professor Tim Roughgarden, Stanford
University(Coursera), Cyber Security Specialization, by professor Jennifer Golbeck, University of
Maryland (Coursera) and Machine Learning, by professor Andrew Ng, Stanford
University(Coursera).

In the summer of 2022, I worked as a SDE Intern at OYO for two months which helped me gain a
significant experience of the corporate world.

I found your area of research to be much in synchronization with my interests. I think it will be a
noteworthy experience to intern under you.
I would be really enthused to work with you. I would like to mention that I am a highly motivated
and hardworking individual. Because of my fervor, I would be able to make a significant
contribution to any work assigned. I am a very quick learner so would be able to learn any
prerequisites. Interning under you will also help me in my future endeavors.
