An Accomplishment Report on Brigada Pagbasa/ School


Based Reading Program 2022-2023
 
The _________________School continuously innovates programs and projects considering the needs of the
students in accordance of school Learning Continuity Plan. Thus, the project ___________________has
been flexed and be adaptive, integrative and inclusive to solve the reading difficulties of slow learners in
the New Normal. We intensified the implementation of a functional reading program to improve the
literacy level and enhance the reading skills of the students.

Based from the Phil-IRI pretest and post-test, we were able to gather data which shows that there are still
struggling readers. This posed a great challenge this school year wherein face-to-face is allowed but the
effects of pandemic especially to the reading skills of the learners. Thus, the proponent thought of
improving reading skills of these identified slow readers.

Activities:

The Filipino/English teachers served as the reading coordinators who conducted remedial reading to those
identified students who had reading difficulties based on the Phil-IRI Pretest.

The reading coordinators distributed reading materials to the students every ___________. The students
brought the reading materials to be read at home with their parents. By affixing the signatures of parents
on the reading materials, the students and parents gave back the reading materials to the reading
coordinators for recording.

Result and Assessment

To assess the reading level of the students, the Phil-IRI Post test was conducted. The result of the pretest
and post-test is shown in the graph below.

There were _____________students who have been part of the Phil-IRI Assessment and their level of
Comprehension was divided into three groups; Independent, Instructional and Frustration. From the
pretest result it was identified that there were ________independent readers (__%),_____instructional
readers (__%), ______instructional readers (_____%) and ____frustration readers (____%)

The post test was conducted after the remedial reading activities and the result gradually improved. The
result shows that there were _________ independent readers (%), ______ instructional readers and (___
%), _____frustration (___%) which means that there is an increase percentage in independent readers and
decrease percentage in instructional and frustration readers from the total population of _________.

Highlights of Accomplishments

The following were the accomplishments of _________ School for the ____________ Reading Program for
School Year 2022-2023.

 Brgy. Officials, teachers and parents work hand on hand for activities

 Usual reading activities were extended on different kind of platforms

 Prepared and distributed supplementary reading materials.

 Provided remediation and intervention program for struggling readers.
