Professor-in-charge: Prof. Dr. Monirul Islam

The esteemed guest, Steve Donofrio, a speaker, author and consultant delivered an
interactive session accompanied by Anmol Sehgal, who is a soft skill trainer and motivator.
They are the co-founders of Wefixgaps, a professional training and coaching organization.

The session was held open after Professor Dr Monirul Islam introduced the guests and
greeted them with a warm welcome speech.

The speaker then presented the students with an interactive session on the theme of
"Importance of Social Impact." The major focus was on the definition of social impact, why
it is necessary to make a social effect as a leader, and how to become a successful social
impactor in any business.

After starting the discourse, the house was free to ask any questions or share their stories.
Anweshan Golder, a student, posed the question to the speaker, "How do you escape those
1000 individuals that pull you back when you want to create a social change?" Sushovan
Dasgupta, a student, questioned, '40 per cent of young Indian women don't attend to school
for different reasons; what are the actions we could take to address this?' Arnesh Rao, a first-
year MBA student, posed another question, wondering how organizations might provide an
exit plan. The lecturer answered all of the queries with a hint of humour, leaving them
satisfied.

Miss. Anmol Sehgal was in charge of the second half. She spoke about women's
empowerment challenges and how Wefixgaps is addressing them. She claims that just
discussing problems would not have an influence; instead, a solution-oriented approach is
required.

After this Steve enlightened everyone with a motivating story of an old man and a starfish
leaving the auditorium clapping and cheering. After a quick photo session with the students,
the event was declared closed.

Overall, it was an enriching and interactive session, as the students enjoyed the expert
insights and got to communicate some of their queries.
