CT Thorax HRCT
Observations

Thyroid gland is normal in size and attenuation.

Atherosclerotic calcification is seen in aorta with calcific speck in coronary. The heart is mildly enlarged in

size. Minimal pericardial fluid is seen

There is no evidence of significant mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy. The trachea and both main

bronchi are normal.

There is moderate bilateral pleural effusion with passive atelectatic changes in the lungs. Small calcified

nodule is seen in right lower lobe with few small calcific foci also along atelectatic right lower lobe. No focal

consolidation, cavity, mass lesion or interstitial thickening is seen on either side. No obvious bronchiectasis is

seen

Degenerative changes are seen in the visualized spine. Note is made of fusion of mid 4th- 5th ribs on right

side with inward buckling causing indentation with slight atelectatic changes in the underlying right upper-

middle lobes
