I. Conceptual Understanding:

 Pupil learn about ideas of development.


 They know about the development promises
and goals of different people.
 Learn about history of human development.
 They learn about the different development
goals of different categories of persons.
 They can learn about income, different goals
and aspirations of common people.
 They learn to compare different states and
countries regarding development.
 They may learn national income and human
development index of different countries.

 They can opine that public facilities must be


provided in a collective provision.
 They study human development index.
 They understand that development is progress
of the nation.
II. Reading the text given, understanding and
interpretation:

 Pupil can comment on the efforts of mankind in the history of human


development.
 They can comment on the information regarding the development of
Himachal Pradesh..
 They can comment about literacy, as the literacy rate denotes
development.
 They comment that education and health are the index of
development

III. Information gathering & processing Skills:

 They can gather the information regarding the developmental goals


and aspirations of different categories of persons.
 They can collect and note the information regarding the development
information of their villagers.
 They can collect the information of different countries about infant
deaths, literacy rate, and average attendance etc.

IV. Reflection on Contemporary Issues and


Questioning:

 Pupil show reasons for the development of Himachal Pradesh.


 They can respond to the issue “why Nepal is better than india in
average life span of its people although it is lesser national income
than India”.
V. Mapping Skills:

 Pupil can identify india, pakisthan, srilanka, nepal,


mayanmar, bangladesh, america and ivory coast in
world outline map.
 They read the information in the world map
showing human development. Identifies developed,
developing and under developed countries.

 Pupil can appreciate the history of human
