Exhibition weekend Unit 5 ao3, ao4, ao5, ao6 and unit6 ao5, ao6 introduction We were going camping

with our public service group in school for part of our assessments this camping trip covered five different assessments. Our aim was to walk from port eynon to Nicolson farm passing a number of check point, then camping over night and then going on to walk to penard church and we were finding our way with two maps and a compass. We were doing this camping trip to get a good overall grade on five assessments. There was a group of nine of us going camping and later on when we got to the camp site we met up with some of the people doing the duke of Edinburgh award. Route In our route we had to follow some rule were like if youre walking on the you have to walk on the right side of the road so the cars were coming to you so they could see you and cars coming from behind were on the opposite side of the road and another rule was like close get and dont leave them open. The equipment we had to take with us was a rucksack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, torch, water proof clothing, food for two days, tangent, compass, mug and cutlery, change of clothes. The clothes I took with me was long trouser legs with a t-shirt and jumper and I took a water proof jacket. Some health and safety point of our trip was like to cook our food in the tangent a least two meters away from the tent just in case of a fire and also we took a first aid kit with us with some plasters and bandages. Day1 On day one we had to meet up with sir at port eynon at quarter past ten then when the rest of the group got here we set of using the map we got to our first check point Horton then we carried on a met sir at hangmans cross and we had a five minute break then we carried on walking to Penrice but we stopped in the woods to have a fifteen minute break for lunch then we carried on walking and the path began to get slippery and I fell and twisted my ankle I got back we carried on walking and got to the top of Kevin Bryn and we went a bit off course and had to walk back up the hill we finally found the right path then we were suppose to meet sir in Penrice woods but I had some saviour cramp and we didnt know where to go so we phoned sir and told him we were lost and I had cramp and he told us to walk straight to camp then the group got split up into two and five people walked on and me and another three people walked slowly down to sir. When we arrived in camp we went into our groups of threes and set up the tent, made some food and I went to sleep. Day 2 The weather had been really bad that night it had been raining nonstop, I had hardly got any sleep and that Morin I woke up about half six but when I got up the sun was out so I could tell it was going to be a better day walking back. As soon as everyone in my tent was up we packed our things and the tent away and we were ready to go. I was not a hundred percent on walking back because I still in a lot of pain with my ankle and he said give it a go and if youre struggling too much we might have to consider ringing home so I said ok and we set off our first check point was up the top of Kevin Bryn and there was a path going round but we improvised as a group and decided to walk up a hill and although I was still in pain I think that gave my legs a stretch and it saved us a bit of time so we had a

break at the top then after our break we set off to meet sir at north hills farm and carried on walking to meet him again at the shepherds and when we got there we had a lunch break after our lunch break we had to walk to penard castle but we had to walk up a very muddy a slippery hill as I walking up I slipped back down so nick and Alex come back down to help me up and we had a couple of falls but we got up and when we got to the top we had a quick rest and carried on walking we got to penard castle and then we had to meet sir at south gate car park so we carried on walking and there was a few sand dooms and I was struggling quite a bit and Nicky came and helped and then we were on a path leading straight to the car park and we got there went to meet sir and we finished it. Analysis I think the exhibition went really well because we were all in a subject together we were all friends and I think thats one of the reasons why we had such good team. I know we were focused on the walk we were able to have a laugh and a joke at the same time and a example of this is when we were all feeling negative about the weather and how it slowed us on the first and Alex was getting all the group to sing and he was telling us all jokes and we were having a good time and I think that made us all feel positive about the walk a head. I think one of our main let downs was that there was no one I think really consider to be our group because when we didnt know where to go we were all auguring amongst ourselves and there was no one really to put it in to a vote for which way to go and people who I should have been the two group leader was Luke because he was always trying to take control of the situation and Alex because he was always keeping the group to think positive. Conclusion www: I think one the reasons the trip went so well is that all of our group completed the walk and none of us quit of give up another reason why the trip went so good is because of our teamwork we were friendly and helped each other out if they needed help and we shared stuff with each other throughout the walk. Ebi: we could have decided on the two leaders before we started the walk also we couldnt do anything about the weather but the rain really slowed us down on the first day and I think me having that injury really slowed us down but I couldnt help it injuries happen.
