Annotation
The above online platform ‘WEEBLY’ was implemented due to Covid-19, to connect and provide information to
families of students commencing Kindergarten in 2021. WEEBLY is a website where I was able to create a digital
footprint by building my own website to provide information to the local community via an online platform. I met
with executives for collegial feedback and advice which resulted in improving my professional knowledge and
practice (6.3.2).

It was essential that I followed relevant legislative and administrative, organisation and professional requirements,
policies and processes (7.2.2). I abided by the DoE Code of Conduct and followed policies and procedures on
page 18 of the Coleambally Central school staff handbook where it refers to ‘Community- School Relationships
and Correspondence’. Similarly, I also adhered to the Coleambally Central School ‘Roles and Responsibilities’
referring in particular to page 21 ‘Role Statement of the classroom teacher’.

I was fortunate enough to be able to meet with parents and carers of students starting Kindergarten in 2021 at the
local community club. I ensured I abided by the Covid -19 regulations and policies and established a relationship
with parents and carers in a respectful manner (7.3.2). I organised a PowerPoint to engage with parents and
carers about the Kindergarten transition and promote the teaching, learning, and well-being that takes place for all
staff students and community members who attend Coleambally Central school (7.4.2). The night was well
received by the community and fifteen students were enrolled at Coleambally Central School for the
commencement of Kindergarten in 2021.
