It gives me immense pleasure to certify that Dr. Pritam Bari worked with me as a ‘Postdoctoral researcher’ from 3 rd
Jan 2022 to 8th Sep 2022. During this period, his works on the topic “An exploration of various thin shell theory-
based models for performing the normal mode analysis of tires” were found to be satisfactory in carrying out high-
quality research. The summary of his research output is as follows:

 He developed the analytical tire models using different approaches like the inflated toroidal shell model and
the cylindrical shell model to study the effect of tire constructional and the operational (inflation pressure,
aspect ratio, and thickness) parameters on the modal properties like natural frequencies and mode shapes of
the tire.
 He benchmarked his analytical results with existing literature and FEA simulation results. And, he also
finally validated those with experimental results.
 He explored the effects of rotation on the dynamics and vibration of the tire under static and rotating
conditions. He verified the results of dispersion relations for rotating tire from literature and trying to plan
an experimental modal analysis for rotating tire.
 Furthermore, he helped to write several research proposals and to develop the vehicle dynamics lab.

From these works, Dr. Bari acquired good analytical, mathematical, and computational skills. I witnessed
tremendous growth in his personality, professional development, and skill set. I found him extremely hard-working,
fully motivated, research-oriented, and intelligent. He is decent, dedicated, and highly committed. I will certainly be
delighted to involve him in any future work, and I strongly recommend him for suitable work positions elsewhere.
