Standard 1
Kasey designs extremely effective teaching and learning experiences for her students. She diligently ensures she
knows the unique backgrounds of each of her students and adjusts or structures her teaching and learning
programs through careful differentiation to meet their diverse individual cultural, religious, socio-economic, social
and learning needs. Kasey is methodical and consistent in her approach resulting in a nurturing, respectful and
positive relationship with all her students. Furthermore, this has resulted in building an environment where all
students are known, cared for and valued; and therefore students feel safe to take risks and access their
learning. Kasey's learning experiences are data driven to maximise student learning opportunities across a wide
range of abilities. She frequently employs effective research based teaching methods and collegial advice so that
she can identify specific strengths and needs of her students.

Standard 2
Kasey rigorously applies her knowledge of Early Stage 1 outcomes and content to support her students' learning.
She demonstrates a strong understanding and adept ability to systematically plan and organise coherent well
sequenced learning and teaching programs. Her lesson planning, assessments and programs reference student
achievement data , student growth over time, curriculum outcomes and content, evaluations, reflections and
student feedback. Kasey provides opportunities to engage and develop all her students. Additionally, she makes
adjustments and evaluates and reflects on the effectiveness of her teaching and learning experiences regularly.
Kasey has shown a dedicated and committed approach to growing her teaching practices in literacy and
numeracy and incorporates the most effective research based teaching strategies to support her students.
Furthermore, she has worked shoulder to shoulder with the school's Assistant Principal Instructional Leader to
continue developing her knowledge and implement school based initiatives. Kasey incorporates appropriate ICT
to support her teaching and learning activities and as a tool for differentiation.

Standard 3
Kasey plans and implements highly effective teaching and learning programs. She is meticulous in ensuring her
knowledge base is extensive and willingly seeks advice and feedback from her colleagues when considering
employing teaching strategies and when evaluating her current practice and programs. Kasey sets explicit,
challenging and achievable goals so that all her students access syllabus outcomes and content. Her lessons are
engaging and promote visible learning teaching practices such as learning intentions and success criteria. These
are clearly articulated and displayed through modelled, guided and in dependent learning. Kasey's teaching
practices are current and she consistently pursues and demonstrates high expectations which has resulted in
commendable reading and writing results for her students. Kasey strives to develop a wide range of teaching
strategies that consistently benefits her students. Selecting and incorporating ICT such as 'Mathsonline' and
'Seesaw' has highly engaged her students. Kasey effectively uses a range of verbal and non-verbal
communication strategies to support student understanding, participation and evaluation. Kasey's programs show
evidence of continuous student improvement for all students across a full range of abilities. She effectively utilises
the Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions and PLAN2 to map progress and inform future planning.

Standard 4
Kasey has a clear understanding of school, curriculum and legislative requirements that ensure student wellbeing
and safety is consistently considered and maintained. Kasey develops safe and productive learning
environments where all students are encouraged to participate and reach their learning goals. Learning spaces
are inclusive and engaging as she fosters a safe, respectful and responsible environment to promote the school
Positive Behaviour for Learning values. Routines and class rules are established and implemented to maintain
order and allow for adequate learning time for all students. Kasey manages challenging behaviours promptly,
fairly and respectfully in accordance with the school discipline policy, curriculum and legislative requirements.
She models best practice at all times and is always readily available to contact parents and seek support. Kasey
gives extensive feedback on all aspects of her students' achievement and behaviour to all stakeholders in the
school setting.

Standard 5
Kasey clearly understands and applies a range of assessment strategies including summative and formative
assessments to determine her teaching directions and monitor student progress and achievement. She
demonstrates a sound understanding of student assessment and data. Kasey regularly engages in professional
teacher feedback sessions to analyse and interpret data to ensure consistent teacher judgment, inform planning,
identify interventions and modify teaching practices. Kasey maps student growth over time and clearly articulates
strengths and areas of need. She uses school based reporting systems to report to students and parents with
clear information about achievement and areas for development.

Standard 6
Kasey actively strives to deepen and extend her knowledge, understanding and skills to develop best teacher
practice. She frequently engages in structured school mentoring and professional learning with the school
Assistant Principal Instructional Leader and fellow colleagues on both formal and informal levels; and acts
positively on advice and feedback as a means of evolving her profession. In doing so, Kasey has become part of
the team to further develop collaborative practice and engagement in professional discussions to improve
teaching and learning. Kasey takes part in negotiated observations of her classroom teaching practice and acts
on collegial feedback to drive self-improvement and thus deliberately incorporates knowledge and skills into her
daily practice.

Standard 7
Kasey communicates and engages with all levels of the school community respectfully and professionally. She
has developed a welcoming positive rapport with parents based on mutual understanding, respect and trust. She
encourages parents to become actively involved in their child's learning through formal and informal meetings
and discussions. She complies withy all NSW Department of Education ethics and codes of conduct, legislative,
administrative policies, professional requirements and processes. Kasey is a reliable team member and one who
understands and respects the confidentiality of student information and mandatory guidelines. Kasey
demonstrates effective communication skills both verbally and written and cares greatly for the wellbeing of
others. Kasey displays a strong moral compass based on honesty, integrity and respect.
