Rules and Regulations
Workshop and Quiz: duration 90 minutes
• Workshop followed by quiz. It will cover basics of python
and workshop topic.
• 20 MCQs with 3 levels of difficulty – easy, medium and hard
carrying 1, 2 and 3 points respectively. Negative marking for
incorrect answers (one-third of the total marks assigned to
the question).
• Quiz will auto submit after the stipulated time is over.
• Winners will be announced within 2 hours of completion.
• All participants receive digital badges. Top 3 winners are
eligible for Certificate of Merit, book prizes, and also get
access to internship with Refactor Academy subject to
selection in the interview round.
• Online quiz on https://app.refactor.academy/ Students must
login to the platform with a mobile number and OTP, select
the Python Workshop course, fill in the registration form and
take the quiz.
Students register only once for both events
Students must attend the workshop, quiz and hackathon
from a laptop with the availability of good internet speed.
Both events are open to individuals, not to teams/groups.
Resources and System requirements
For hackathon must have proper internet connection,
4 GB RAM (preferably 8 GB RAM), chrome browser,
python 3 and a code editor - Jupyter notebook.
Hackathon: duration 2 to 4 hours
• All students participating in quiz are eligible to take part in
the hackathon.
• Solving a real-world problem using Python programming
and some ML libraries.
• The code submission will be evaluated through platform
tools before announcing the winners.
• Refactor Academy will take upto 4 working days to an-
nounce the top 3 winners.
• Winners eligible for Certificate of Merit, and also get access to
paid internships with Refactor Academy in Bengaluru subject
to an interview round after the hackathon.
• Hackathon will be organised over the Teams/Zoom platform.
Participants must share their video and screen throughout
the duration of the hackathon The hackathon task along
with the acceptance criteria with relevant marks will be
announced once everybody has come online and the virtual
online room is locked in. After the hackathon starts, no more
participants will be allowed to enter the hackathon virtual
room. The participants will register on a google form which
will also ask their Github ID (mandatory field) Once they
complete the hackathon task, they will give access to a given
Github ID of Refactor Academy in their github repo (like
sharing a google doc with an email address).
• The output code will not be used by us for any live project
as the hackathon is purely for educational purposes.
