1) Interested candidates are requested to visit the website regularly for individual
notifications, recruitment rules, General terms and conditions and instructions for applying
and other details carefully before applying online for any post.
2) The date from which links for each post would be active and the last date of applying for
each of posts would be varied and may be checked against the individual notifications
against each post.

3) In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough. The
Institute will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature
in submission of online application during last days.
4) The essential, desirable qualifications in terms of education and experience for the above
post(s), are in accordance with the Recruitment Rules for non-faculty post in NITs as
notified by MHRD in 2019 and adopted by Board of Governors, National Institute of
Technology Calicut.
5) As per the recruitment rules the Group A posts will be filled by direct recruitment failing
which it will be filled by deputation at the discretion of the competent authority. The age
limit for deputation would be 56 and eligibility of candidates to be considered on
deputation would be governed as prescribed in recruitment rules.

Note: The pay and other terms and conditions of the service of the officials selected on
deputation will be governed by provisions laid down in the DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.
(Pay. II), dated 17th June 2010 and other related orders issued from time and time.

6) The Institute reserves the right to cancel and/or alter the no. of posts advertised
(i.e. increase or decrease the number of vacancies) due to administrative reasons.

7) The Institute strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women
candidates are encouraged to apply.The Institute follows the reservation norms as per GoI
norms and encourages candidates from all categories to apply.

8) Relaxation in age up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and up to 3 years for OBC-NCL
candidates only in respect of vacancies reserved for them.

9) Relaxation in age to PwD / Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.

10) Regular Staff of NITs will be given relaxation of age etc., as per the provisions stipulated
in the Para 4(B)(iii) of MHRD letter No.F.35-5/2018-TS.III dated 20.02.2019.

11) The personnel serving as ad hoc/temporary/contractual/outsource basis, in RECs/NITs,

are eligible for a one time age relaxation subject to a maximum of 15 years for the post
for which they fulfil all the other conditions mentioned in the recruitment rules proposed
by the oversight committee in accordance to the decision of Board of Governors of the
Institute in its 49th meeting of BoG taken on 05.07.2019 vide BG. 49.05 as per the
provisions stipulated in the Para 4(A)(i) of MHRD letter No.F.35-5/2018-TS.III dated
20.02.2019.
