COMPARATIVE PAPER

In watching the videos about the different Concrete system, the Lift slab is a method of constructing

buildings by casting floor or roof slab on top of the lower slab and then raising the slab up with hydraulic

jack which is the equipment that used in constructing a concrete building. Lift Slab construction can be

more economic than Conventional Flat Slab meaning, the slab having beam hidden inside it and casted

unbending. The slab is directly at rest over the column and so the load is transferred from slab to column

whereas the Conventional slab is rest over the beam and so the load is transferred from beam to column.

It is generally used in residential buildings, frame structure. Another is the Waffle Slab, it is a type of

building material that has two-directional reinforcement on the outside of the material, giving it the shape

of the pockets on a waffle while in Composite Slab construction is a modern building method that is based

in the combination of steel cross sections and reinforced concrete elements and is achieve at the

maximum possible utilization of their properties to the benefit of the structure. Lastly, the Construction

lifting slabs new is a lift slab system which evolved in concrete bearing walls that are lifted simultaneously

with the slabs.
