Composite Construction and Conventional Construction are both methods used in
construction. They both differs in some way and similarities in other way. Conventional Construction is a traditional method of construction using common techniques and materials. With this kind of method, construction trade knowledge is passed from generation to generation, which is why new homes are built almost identically to those built over a decade or more years ago. While on the other hand, Composite Construction method is a modern building method that is based in the combination of steel cross sections and reinforced concrete elements and is main aim is to utilize the maximum possibility of their properties to the benefit of the structure. So, you can distinguish the difference by noticing the type of method that is used, Conventional construction focuses mainly on traditional method on the contrary, Composite construction caters mostly on modern building method.
When it comes to Cost, Conventional construction method building materials is cheaper by
5% – 15% from the market due to the organization with crews, because of mass number of purchases so it became cheap compared to Composite construction but when it comes to the service cost the market offers the Conventional construction 30% to 40% more expensive than that of Composite construction. Furthermore, when we talk about the time of Delivery. Conventional construction involves longer time of delivery while in Composite construction takes a while. In Strength and Durability, Composite construction method provides an anti-seismic shield. The supports and beam have been replaced by structural steel cross sections that can provide an anti-seismic shield for the building. Conventional Construction has Difficulty and high cost for the repair of damages. With composite construction, a support structure that may bent can be repaired quickly, easily and with less money also Conventional construction is harder to perform quality control.
