Architecture Pathway to PR: (15 Weeks)

 Skill Assessment- Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA)


 There are 8 Bodies to evaluate:

 NSW Architects Registration Board


 Architects Registration Board of Victoria
 Board of Architects of Queensland
 The Architectural Practice Board of South Australia
 Architects Board of Western Australia
 Australian Capital Territory Architects Board
 Board of Architects of Tasmania
 Northern Territory Architects Board

 Examination conducted twice a year


 comprise 3 parts
 Qualification Requirement:

1. Should contain the compulsory period of practical experience (6 Prescribed core


areas of study)
 Design study & design integration
 Documentation &technical studies
 History & theory studies
 Environmental studies
 Communication studies
 Practice & project Management implementation and user studies

 Points will be given based on the following:


 Age
 Education qualification
 Points for professional Year
 Points for NAATI- Credentialled community Language
 Points for 2 Year study
 Points for English
 Points for Regional study
 Points for work experience
 Points for Specialist Educational qualification (STEM)
 Points for Partner

 Eligibility:
 Min 5 Years of Professional qualification in Architecture (applicant should
provide previous and current registration/ Licensure).
 7 Years of relevant professional post graduate experience (includes 3 Years of
Architectural service on complex project, operating at the executive level)
 English Proficiency
 IELTS- Overall 6.5 or above
 Letter for current employer stating that the applicant has a standard of
English appropriate for professional practice in architecture.

 Assessment Process:
 Submission is lodged electronically by applicant
 Eligibility verification
 Panel based competency assessment interview
 Face-to-face/ Online interview (1hr)
 Provide photo ID and have their assessable item as submitted to AACA ready for
interview.
