Afternoon Prayers

MONDAY
Leader: In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit
All: Amen
Leader: As we now end our classes this afternoon and move
on to fulfill our other duties at home, let us first pause
for a while and express our thanks to God who
sustains us throughout the day.
All: Thank you Lord for journeying with us today,
from the earliest hour of the morning until this
moment. We truly feel your loving presence.
Leader: We thank you Lord
All: For the gift of this day. For the strength through
which we had carried on our tasks; for the
enlightenment through which we had understood
the important lessons of life; for the joy we
experienced in encountering others.
Leader: We ask you to bless our companions, our
workmates / classmates and our administrators /
educators
All: That they may experience your guiding hand as
they go home; your protection from physical and
spiritual dangers; your peace in their moments of
difficulties.
 Afternoon Prayers

Leader: We pray too for those who suffer insults and

prejudice
All: That they may be comforted with Your loving
presence and be inspired by to offer their pain to
You.
Leader: Let us ask the intercession of our Blessed Mother
who is always with us.
All: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women and blessed is the
fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of
God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of
our death. Amen
Leader: Lord, help us to see you in the ordinary and routinary
events of today. Fill our timetable with opportunities
to share your love and goodness to others. We ask
this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
