OD is a process of continuous strategy to improve. That strategy requires planning to


identify where you are, understanding your current reality where you want to go identifying
the vision of the future and how to get there, bringing in the plan to reality through
measurable action.
Today’s organization operate in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to manage change is
one of the important aspects of the organization.

Any action which improves organizational performance can be called an intervention


When executed successfully OD maximizes the employee potential and aligns their
behaviour with the organizational strategy. OD assesses needs and creates purposeful,
meaningful change for the better

History of OD:
Quality of life is in 2 phases. 1st phase starts in 1950, aimed at integratrating technology and people.
