MANIFEST DESTINY ~ A Musical Tribute

You and a partner (or by yourself…NOT A GROUP) will create a song that describes the historical events that shaped
Manifest Destiny and will reflect all 5 of the themes that this unit covers. These are the requirements that will need to
be followed in order to receive full credit on this Signature Assignment Project.

The Presentation must include:


1. The lyrics of the song you created are displayed throughout.
2. A visual slide show of the 5 themes of Manifest Destiny.
3. Transitions and timings that correspond to the music you used.
4. The performance of the song synced with your slide show/movie mp4.
 You personally don’t have to sing the song, but it needs to be performed and saved in an MP4 format and
turned in on time.

The Song must include the following information:


DETAILS:
1. Need to have a song that yours is modeled after. Can be any type of musical style. When the music is played in
the background of your song, it can’t have original lyrics or any explicit content.
2. The song you develop must be school appropriate, no swearing in your lyrics.
3. It must have 4-5 verses minimum, any shorter and you won’t be able to give any content.
4. It should have a have a chorus but may not. Up to you on that. Be musical.

CONTENT: Can and should include but is not limited to the contents of your study guide for this unit.

DUE DATE: TUESDAY MAY 11th @ 9:00am…ALL STUDENTS!


You will need to have your song turned into the TEAMS project assignment by 9a on Tuesday Morning. To get full
credit, you will have to have it completed on time, follow all directions given and modeled and make sure that your
content is covered.

PROJECT TOTAL:
100 points when turned in on time and in the format required with all elements included from the directions
above.
You will only get a 90 out of 100 points max if the song is not performed in the project and just a slide show,
with lyrics and all other requirements are met.
Automatic deduction of 30% if the project is turned in anytime after 9a on MAY 11th.
