OPERATION SET GUIDE

FURNACE

PREPARED BY : BRIGHT ENGINEERING

 Input Voltmeter: It’s showing actual line voltage. If incoming voltage reduce up to 370VAC
than output efficiency will very low. Input voltage must be maintain in the range of 400 to
415VAC.

 Transformer Output voltage: It’s showing powerpac transformer output voltage.

Minimum voltage - 220VAC

Maximum voltage -1000VAC
Running voltage – 330VAC to 700VAC

 Induction Current: It’s showing furnace induction current.

For example, Line voltage - 385 VAC

Induction current - 895 A

Faulty condition: Line voltage 385VAC and Induction current less than 850A. In this case
furnace must be clean due to remove impurities.
Maximum temp – 1200 degree C.

Maximum two hour metal is in open condition. After that through SS rod (25mm) inside the
metal channel flip properly.
 If Induction current is low than phase will unbalanced .Induction current is more than
20% upper of line current. If line current exceeds high than extra capacitor must be
add than line current will balance. If not balance than furnace will relining again.

 R-Y-B Ammeter: It’s showing actual line current. If every phase individual current 10%
more or less to other phase then it’s ok. But more than that phase not be in balance. If any of
phase shows current which is 20% less or more to others phase. In that case furnace panel has
composition group & phase balance phase can balance by this option through selector switch.

Phase balance:

 Group 1 - R-B 50KVAR

 Group 2 - Y-B 50KVAR

Composition Group:

 Group 1 - 30KVAR
 Group 2 - 60KVAR
 Group 3 - 120 KVAR
 Group 4 - 120KVAR
Control Switching

1. Control On/Off: Select this button full system is turn on.

2. Furnace Off: Furnace will off by this switch. If require to increase Furnace voltage at first must be
turn off the furnace.

3. Low Power Switch: Furnace selection at low power. If any fault occurs in furnace than must select
the low power in the place of high power.

4. High Power: In this selector furnace run in high voltage. When require the high power at first turn
off the furnace than with the tap selection switch select the high tap than switch on the furnace.
5. Breaker Trip: If push this powerpac ACB will be tripped.

6. Mode Selection:

 Sintering Mode - Timer mode run in low & high both power.
 Manual Mode - Manually run the Furnace
 Temperature Mode – It will works according to melting condition. High & low power
selection set according to temperature.

 Pump 1& pump 2 – One pump must be run 24 hour.

 Furnace Blower – If high power on than it will always run.
 Powerpac Reactor Fan & Transformer Fan – Both run 24 hour.

 Reset: This button is for alarm reset.

 Earth leakage meter: Furnace metal &body resistance shows by this. If resistance is zero
than furnace become faulty.

 Water temperature Scanner: If water temperature exceeds above 50 degree than must be
check the water line & motor and take necessary action to reduce it.
