--Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme(IGNDPS)-- [Introduced in 2009] Funding agency : Central Government Brief description : To provide social benefit to the poor household in the case of PWDsBeneficiary Eligibility Criteria : The age of the applicant should range between 18-79 years. The applicant should be a resident of India. ‘The applicant should be a physically or mentally disabled person ‘The applicant's disability should be more than 40%. Dwarfs are also eligible for this scheme. The applicant should belong to Below Poverty Line. How to apply : The applicant has to visit the local government bodies like Gram Panchayat, Municipalities to collect the application form. After duly filling the form, it has to be submitted to the same office. The application formis obtained for free of cost. + Documents required : AadharCard Certificate of Disability Residence Proof of the applicant Account Details Age Proof Below Poverty Line Ration Card « Fulldescription of scheme: The Indira Gandhi National Disability Scheme was launched on February 2009 by the Ministry of Rural Development headed by the Central Governmentto support the disabled people in our country. This scheme introduced under National Social Assistance Program provides monthly pension to disabled people for the prosperity of theirlives. Any disabled person whose age is more than 18 years, and with 40% disability belonging to the poverty line can apply for this scheme. A sumof Rs. 300 is paid as pension for people up to the age of 79. anda sum of Rs. 500 is applicable for people above 79 years.
