TimeTunnel Overview
“I’d like to find that photo. Lets see... Maybe it was last summer...”

"I want to find the picture of that scene we saw on the third or fourth day
of our trip two years ago."

These are the situations for which TimeTunnel is ideally suited. TimeTunnel is a software
program that uses the shooting dates automatically recorded by PowerShot digital cameras
to arrange and display thumbnail versions of images in chronological order on rings repre-
senting a time continuum (a time tunnel) so that you can easily search and find specific
images in a flash. As you watch the images scroll past on the screen, you receive the
impression of going through a time tunnel. When you find your target thumbnail, double-
click on it to view the original image.

Additional Hints
Each ring generally represents a single day. However, the ring values change under
the following conditions.
• A maximum of eight thumbnails can be shown on one ring. When there are nine
or more images with the same shooting date, the rings represent hours.
• When the rings represent hours and there is a gap of more than four hours
between the times of registered images, the intervening rings for these hours
are condensed.
• If there is a gap of 10 or more days between the dates of registered images, the
intervening rings for these dates are condensed.
• Scrolling beyond the ring bearing the oldest date causes the ring bearing the
newest date to reappear. Scrolling beyond the ring bearing the oldest date
causes the ring bearing the newest date to reappear. Similarly, scrolling past the
newest date causes the ring bearing the oldest date to appear.
