Defragmentation
Defragmentation is a process of putting files on a computer in a contiguous order. There are hundreds of files that the user stores on a system and all these files occupy a large area spread over the disk. Because data gets stored this way, the read/write head has to move repeatedly to read data. So, when a defragmenter program is run in a Windows 7 environment, all these files are placed in adjacent sectors and are properly aligned so that they occupy optimum space. Once defragmentation is done, the performance of the system can increase significantly.

You can also create a new plan from the existing plans, but you cannot delete a predefined power plan.

It is essential to keep information in files safe and secure. This is made possible by granting access rights to select users. You can also set permissions at the folder and file levels. Generally, it is easier to group files with the same security requirements in a folder and assign permission levels to that folder. The list of permission levels set on a folder or a file is called the Access Control List (ACL). At the folder level, you can have full control and perform any action on the folder.
