Web-Based Expert System Fertilizer Consultant

Introduction

Nowadays many farmers rely on fertilizer that may help them

grow their crops faster and prosperous. They look for a

fertilizer consultant as their source of information to what

fertilizer to be use. Unfortunately, assistance from a consultant

is not always available to provide the information for the

farmer. To provide solution for this issue, the web-based expert

system is a tool to provide the information needed of the

farmers.

Background of the Study

The purpose of this study is to provide assistance to the

farmers in decision making on what kind of fertilizer to be used

in their crops. This study must be conduct for not all an expert

or fertilizer specialist is always available. In this study we

will create an alternative option for the farmers to seek for

information for decision making. They won’t need to go outside to

look for consultant they just need to look for their crops in the

system and the system will show the suggested fertilizer for

their crops.

Objectives

The objectives of the study aim to achieve the following:

 To design an understandable expert system,

 To develop an expert system to give accurateness
suggestions, and
  To implement the effectiveness of the system.

Scope and Delimitation

This study excluded the testing of the soil to generate a

conclusion or suggested fertilizer to the user. The system

provided the available crops and plants on consulting for a

fertilizer.

Significance of the Study

 Farmers – The study will provide the information needed of

the farmers. They can rely on the system to consult for the

fertilizer they can use.

 Future Researchers – The study will provide the information

needed for the future researchers.
