Comparing Quantity
Explanation

1- More : We use ( more ) to say we


have bigger amount or numbers of
(countable & non-countable)
things or objects.

2- Less : We use (less) to say we have


smaller amount of (uncountable)
things.

3- Fewer : We use fewer to say we


have smaller numbers of things or
objects, (countable)
Form
Affirmative Sub. + have / has + (more /
less / fewer ) + (the thing ) +
than + obj.
Negative Sub. + have / has + not + (
more /less / fewer ) +( the
thing ) + than + obj.

 We use have & has to compare by


telling about the things with us.

Ex:
1- Rana has more juice than Rawan.
Form
Affirmative Sub. + am/ is/ are + (more /
less) + adjective + than + obj.
Negative Sub. + am/is /are +not +
(more / less) + obj.

 We use ( am , is & are ) to compare


between two or more things or
persons.
Ex:
1- English is more interesting than
math.
