Covid 19 Quarantine Life Lessons

Quarantine may not be a so familiar word for all of us before the Covid 19 strike. We may have
only thought of it as a few days of isolation with nothing to worry about. Then, here comes the corona
virus giving quarantine a whole new colloquial definition for everybody. It may sound so normal before
the pandemic but, not until today that it shaken us when we hear it. Somehow it fears us that one day we
can be the next one.
Although quarantine can be fascinating for all of us, being locked down from our own homes
taught us different life lessons. Being isolated made us to ponder and see the things we usually taken for
granted. This pandemic forced us to take a break, observe and spend more time for ourselves and our
family. Times like this deliver us to different options that may depends within ourselves.
We can spend our time and just get stuck doing nothing, or we can meditate for us to focus and
realize what must we do to be productive. While doing those things we can learn many significant
lessons that we should continue even if the pandemic subside.
First, this quarantine taught us what we should prioritize or what must come first. Utilizing your
time makes you more productive thus, saving the time and energy for other things. We should decide on
what, when, how to do things one by one so we can conserve enough time and energy for the next one.
Doing something doesn’t mean that we should prioritize it over something more important.
Second, moving forward is necessary. There are so many unnecessary things surround our lives,
but there are some things that we should get rid of in order to move forward. Sometimes what we want or
what we planned before just don’t happen and it forces us to just move on and start again. You can just
get stuck and do nothing about it or you are supposed to move on and do something and learn from it.
Quarantine taught us that there is another opportunity ahead, that’s why moving forward is necessary.
Last is, less is the new more. Quarantine forced every one of us to stop, slow down, or just focus
on what is around you. This period taught us to be thankful of what we still have and forgetting what we
lost and what we don’t have. It made us realized the value of the things that we already have that others
also don’t have. Less people, less stress. Just your family and your few real friends who will help you
realize that we have more than enough.
Being in quarantine is not easy. It forced us to prioritize what is important; forced us to move
forward; and helped us to realize that we really have more than enough than we really though we have.
Above all, we realized that the Almighty God is with in all of us.
