‘’A GOD FEARING HEART’’

PROVERBS 8:13
To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and
perverse speech.

Intro.:
Do you have a God fearing heart??
When we were still kids our father is so strict when it comes to
disciplining us. No adda nangeg or nakita na nga inaramid mi nga madi

I. A GOD FEARING HEART HATES EVIL!

Fear –
profound reverence and awe especially toward God.
What are this evil ways?;
A]. “PRIDE!”
1]. It is the “ROOT” sin!
2]. It was found first in the HEART of “Lucifer” – root ng kanyang
“rebellion” against God. God removed Satan and all his followers out
of heaven – because of this PRIDE. GOD HATES PRIDE! Our text says: “I
[God]” hates…PRIDE!
 3]. The truth is, we all have “PRIDE” in our hearts too. God loves us so
much, but it’s our PRIDE that He hates. Anong remedy?
4]. “God OPPOSES the PROUD but gives *GRACE [enabling power]
only to the HUMBLE”
[James 4:6]. A GOD FEARING HEART comes only through
“HUMILITY,” and it is by “God’s GRACE!”

B]. “ARROGANCE!”
1]. “Over bearing pride!” Hindi lang basta “nag-ibang ihip ng hangin na
pride” – ito ay matinding uri ng kayabangan.
2]. Parang “Yolanda” na “uri ng kayabangan” – maraming buhay ang
madadamay, pati Gawain ni God ay mabubuwal; a reason why God hates
ARROGANCE.
3]. But if your HEART FEARS the LORD; you have no option but to
“HATE” arrogance too!
 D]. “PERVERSE SPEECH!”
1]. Kahit sa mga Kristiano ay ginagawa pa rin nila itong particular EVIL
na ito. James 3:9-10
2]. SAMPLE: “pagsisinungaling, paninirang puri, tsismis, etc.” Sa
“DILA” ang manifestation, laging napapakinggan ni “GOD!”
3]. Hindi nagbago ang judgment ni God sa ating text: “GOD HATES
PERVERSE SPEECH!” Si God ang unang nakakarinig at nasasaktan –
kung gamit natin ang ating DILA to slander or gossip against “someone” [a friend,
leader, brethren].

II. A GOD FEARING HEART OBEYS!

How do we obey?
 A] “OBEY HIS WORDS!’’
1].meditate the WORD day and night, kung wala tayong
ginagawa magiging dry ang ating Spititual Life. 2].
Read and study the WORD
3].OBEYING His WORD means we trust in Him
B] OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS!
1]. Bilang isang mananampalataya dapat nating sundin ang
tama. Nakasulat narin ito sa Bible kung familiar tayo sa TEN
COMMANDMENTS. We know what to do and not to do!
2].God is a Loving GOD and if we OBEY it shows that we
also Love Him
As sons and daughter of God we must keep His commandments, not
just keep but while we obey, apply it in our/your daily life.
III. A GOD FEARING HEART LIVES A HOLY LIFE!

How do we live a holy life?

A.DISCONNECT OURSELF INTO THIS UNHOLY WORLD!

1]. Kaadwan nga kunada ket isuda namati dan but they still yoke to
unbelievers. During Sunday they are active in the church but
weekdays they are this “happy go lucky” heb. 10:10
2]. Tadta adda jay makuna nga social distancing, masapol tayo nga
maaddaan iti distansaya iti nainlubungan nga aramid

B. CLEANSE OURSELVES BEFORE THE LORD!

 1].2 Cor. 7:1 Since before we have this promises, dear friends,
let us PURIFY OURSELVES from everything that
CONTAMINATES body and spirit,perfecting Holiness out of reverence
for God.
2]. Break those unholy ties that hinders you/us to live a Holy
life
3] living a HOLY Life is a decision to be made by each and
everyone of us and this is an individual decision. Hindi ka
gumagawa ng desisyon para sa iba

CONCLUSION:
Having a God fearing heart is what the Lord wants us to have, and in
order to have this God fearing heart Let us not tolerate sin in our lives ,
break that unholy fear that hinders you to have a God fearing heart. A
fearing heart that hates evil ways, obeys His commandments and lastly live a
holy life.
