Welcome to Shimla British Resort, Shimla. Heritage Redefined. It’s an idyllic secluded
haven nestling in the natural beauty of an untouched Cedar and Pine Forest christened the
"Green Glen". A celebration of elegance and grace of the colonial era it is the Queen of Hill
Stations. The Resort captures the beauty of Scottish and British architectures, peace and
privacy pervade this exclusive "Resort" with elegant & rich interior that transport to you a
different century.
The Glen Cottage established in 1893 and the Scottish Cottage in 1898 are architectural
wonders in themselves. The Danish cottage was also established in the same year. These were
built by a British engineer. He owned this cottage for around 41 years i.e., from 1893 to 1934.
After him this cottage was owned by Nawab of Karachi (1934 to 1937). Later Mr. P.N. Kaul
owned this cottage from 1937 till 1951. Today, it is being run as a heritage resort.

Shimla has always been Bollywood one of its favorite places for its picturesque sights.
Many love songs have been shot amidst the beautiful pine trees surrounding by British resort.
The place has been famous for its British touch. Bollywood often looks up to Shimla as an
economic alternative for Switzerland or England. Lately, the Shimla British Resort, a
masterpiece of British architecture has emerged as an exclusive favorite of Bollywood and
mostly remains booked for the shooting of one or the other Bollywood movie.
Ajay Devgan's "Mai Aisa Hi Hoon" was the first movie which was shot here followed
by Amitabh Bacchan's "Shoe Bite". A renowned Bollywood and television figure Parikshit
Sahni who was here to shoot his home production sitcom "London Ki Ek Raat" says, "This
property exactly looks like London and it is what I wished for my shooting."

Our place is drive-in with ample parking for all kinds of vehicles. Any vehicle can go
right up to resort. The road is motor able and is wide enough for large vehicles to easily pass
by. Parking has always been a constraint in Shimla, so we have made full arrangements for
providing you a hassle-free travel.
Uninterrupted valley views on three sides; this is an ideal place for nature lovers.
Nature walks, bird watching, trekking, and camping, all facilities are provided for by the
