Every first-year student at the University of Immaculate Conception
participated in the National Service Training Program (NSTP). The Commission of Higher Education, Technical Educational and Skill Development Authority, and the Department of National Defense introduced the R.A. instead of the Reserve Officer Training Corps. 9163 is a bill that establishes the National Service Training Program for tertiary students, modifying republic act 7077 and presidential decree 1706 for that purpose, and for other purposes. The Reserve Officer Training Corps, Civic Welfare Training Service, and Literacy Training Service were the three components of the National Service Training Program. The ROTC Program is to serve the country and prepare military tactics, the CWTS Program is to assist and enhance the community's welfare in terms of health, education, and entrepreneurship, and the LTS Program is to volunteer to educate out- of-school adolescent children. The Literacy Training Service and the Civic Welfare Training Service both focused on the First Semester of the session under the JEEPGY Framework. Justice and Peace, Ecological Integrity, Engaged Citizenship, Puberty Alleviation Reduction, Gender Equality, and Youth Empowerment are all part of the JEEPGY Framework. Justice and Peace is a campaign dedicated to assisting in education, the International Electrotechnical Commission, immersion, and the sharing of resources. Environmental Protection and Preservation (EPP) is an act concerned with promoting and preserving the environment through proper use of natural resources such as water conservation, proper garbage disposal, and avoiding the use of plastic in fires to maintain a healthy environment, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) is an act supporting those who were involved in any hazardous natural disaster such as landslides.
