La función que ejerce la Defensoría del Pueblo en sí es aconsejar y guiar a los
habitantes del pueblo colombiano tanto en territorio nacional como en
territorio extranjero dando a conocerle los derechos que posee y cómo debe
ejercerlos ante una institución pública o privada, siendo una parte esencial
entorno a los derechos de los colombianos.
La Defensoría del Pueblo es una parte esencial en nuestra sociedad ya que
brinda un apoyo y una guía a los colombianos que no saben cómo ejercer sus
derechos ante diferentes situaciones que se pueden presentar ya sea en
diferentes instituciones como, serían de carácter público o privado dándole una
orientación y educación al ciudadano respeto de qué manera debería ejercer
sus derechos así brindando una defensa a todas las personas ,radicando los
casos de vulneración de los derechos del ciudadano.
