My Career Plans

I am currently doing Grade 12 at Curro Grantleigh College. My

current subjects are Mathematics Core, Physical Sciences and Life
Sciences. By selecting these subjects, I am obviously limited to
choose a range of careers to follow. Most of my option are medical
or anatomical. My career plans for the next 3-5 years are very vital as
they are the foundation of my future. I have made a shortlist of the
careers I would like to pursue. It is Microbiology, Medicine or
Medical Sciences. The first two being Microbiology and Medical
Sciences require for me to obtain a minimum of 30 Accumulated
Points Score but can differ from different universities. I have a great
passion in learn about micro organisms and everything that revolves
around them so this means microbiology is my number priority.
Medical Sciences on the other hand is also very interesting and could
possible open doors for me in the future. Medical Sciences means
that I could branch into other medical related fields such as
Pharmacy. Medicine requires a minimum of 37 Accumulated Points
Score but can vary from different tertiary institutions. Medicine is a
more advanced and complicated choice than the rest and I consider
it to be the most difficult. I find great interest in all three of these
career choices. Only I can decide which one I am going to choose
according to my heart and Accumulated Points Score. I want to study
between these three options. University of Cape Town, University of
Pretoria or Stellenbosch. These are three very good institutions that I
am sure I would enjoy my time there. Stellenbosch is notorious for
Medicine providing the best professors and have a great history of
good doctors graduating from there. The universities at Cape Town
also have a beach so the conditions and temperatures are not as
harsh as Pretoria.
Possible obstacles for realising your Mission Statement
Nobody is perfect, you may be thinking of famous celebrities such as
Kylie Jenner, Chris Brown or Cristiano Ronaldo but in actual fact no
one is perfect. The only perfect person to ever walk this Earth was
Jesus Christ, the son of God. Everyone has their own personal flaws
and not everyone has the same flaws. Some flaws affect people
around you such as close family and friends negatively whereas some
do not affect them at all. It takes a leap of pride to fix your flaws that
affect your loved ones. My biggest flaw is that I am very impatient
and even if the person is not to blame for whatever situation is going
down, I will find a way to shift the blame on them. Obviously, this
could have great harm on those around me. I have come up with
ways so help myself deal with this type of issue. Interpersonal
Patience is patience with other people, their demands and their
fallings. Some people are slow learners or have bad habits that drive
me crazy. A way to deal with things like these is to have listening
skills and empathy. You need to have emotional intelligence to how
your word and reactions will affect the situations. Self-Love and
Confidence is also a big flaw even though these do not affect my
friends and family negatively. I have decided to realize that God
created me for a purpose and that I am a unique individual.
