Research Methodology

This study discusses the method that has been used in data collection and in

the analysis of the data to answer the research questions of this study. It explains

the research design that has been used as well as the sampling method used to

be able to analyze and understand the data that have been collected by the

researchers.

Research Design

This study will determine the purpose of the climate change that affects the

tourism industry and will give an understanding to the managers. employees to

actively join in the subject.

The researcher will use the descriptive research design to gather the facts and

data in order to answer the question concerning the current status of the subject.

Furthermore, it also helps in the construction of findings, interpretation,

conclusion, and recommendations.

The descriptive method of research can be explained as a statement of

affairs as they are at present with the researcher having no control over the

variable. Moreover, “descriptive research may be characterized as simply the

attempt to determine, describe or identify what is, while analytical research

attempts to establish why is it that may or how it came to be.” (Ethridge, 2014).

The descriptive research method was used by the researchers.

Subjects of the Study

The subjects of the study were 30 Managers from selected tourist attractions in

Laurel, Talisay, Tanauan City and Sto Tomas, Batangas. The researcher used

purposive sampling as a technique in determining the number and kind of

respondents in this study.

Data Gathering Instrument

To gather the necessary data questionnaires and semi-structured

interviews will be used in the research study. A questionnaire was the main

research instrument used by the researcher in this study which aims to identify

the attitudes of the students towards sports development activities.

Construction of the Questionnaire. The instrument contained questions

that became the basis of the factors of the study. It was made to gather

information. The researcher first conducted an interview among learners and

enlisted the reasons why most of the students less excel in sports and the

advantages of conducting sports activities. Afterward, the researcher came up

with the questionnaire relevant to the title of the topic.

Validation of the Questionnaire. The questionnaires will be submitted to

the evaluator/research teacher for evaluation. After the questions was checked,

the researchers may revise them for the final approval of the adviser. The

researcher will be asking approval from his professor in Research the attitudes of
the students towards the topic. The researcher also sought the help of

knowledgeable persons for the validation of the questionnaire.

Administration of the Questionnaire. The researchers will send first the letter

of request to the principal for approval to conduct the survey to the students.

Upon approval, the questionnaires will be distributed to the managers and

employees. After accomplishing the questionnaires, these will be collected and

tailed and the results will be evaluated to answer the posted questionnaires to

the problem.

Retrieval of Questionnaire.

Scoring of Responses. The results will be tallied and tabulated according

to the frequency of items checked by the respondents. Thereafter, data

tabulation results will be interpreted using various statistical tools.

Below verbal interpretation will be used to present and analyze data

gathered for identifying the attitudes of the students towards sports development

activities.

Data Gathering Procedure

This study will discuss the data gathering procedures that have been followed by

the researchers. The researchers will make a questionnaire. These data will help

to give more information to our research. Having found the research

instrument valid and reliable, the researcher will seek the approval of the

respective evaluator. Once permitted, the researcher will proceed with the data

gathering process utilizing a research-made questionnaire. Prior to the

distribution, parent consent will be secured since students will be used as the

subject of the study.

Data Analysis Plan

The data collected were tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted through

statistical treatment in order to gather the necessary data and findings of the

study.

The following statistical tools were used in the study.

Frequency. This statistical tool will be used to analyze the number of

occurrences of each response of the respondents.

Percentage. This will be used to determine the relationship of each

response as a whole

Rank. This will be used to describe the positional importance of an item

to other items. This was employed to identify the order of the result from

decreasing to increasing variables presented. Moreover, this measure among the

items got the highest mean score to the lowest mean score.
