With a burning passion to share my knowledge and experiences, I want to apply for a Home Room
Teacher position in your good institution.

I completed my Bachelor of Secondary Education degree on March 2016 at Saint Joseph College,
Maasin City, Southern Leyte and was hired as an English Teacher there right away. I have
experienced teaching junior high school students of different levels particularly grade 7 to grade
10 for 3 years. After that 3 year experience in the Private School, I ventured and applied a
teaching position in the public-school sector which was ranked 46th of the 190 applicants. During
that year, I was hired as teacher and was then assigned in Malitbog National High school. With
the I have given effective classroom management, dynamic activities, well-constructed and
student-centered lesson plans, detailed student evaluations and well-complimented
instructional delivery. Managing the different abilities of my students proved difficult but a
gratifying challenge. I facilitated interesting but equally challenging activities to maintain their
interest of my high-level students without intimidating the less-skilled ones. Given this
experience, I can confidently say that I understand how the system works in the state schools
and I can do the duties and the responsibilities of a public school teacher.
Believing that teachers should engage themselves in a life-long learning, I have decided to start
taking my graduate studies in Master of Arts in Education (Major in English) since June 2017 at
Southern Leyte State University- Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte. I was also given the opportunity
to hone my skills in teaching through participating training, seminars and even be a coach in some
contests related with journalism and in sport. It was a great privilege that during the Regional
Schools Pres Conference held in Baybay City on November 5-8, I was the one who mentored the
2nd and 6th placer in the Science and Technology Category which gave my students the
opportunity to represent Eastern Visayas in the National Schools Pres Conference.
Those experiences taught me to build strong relationships with any departments in the
organization. I also believe that your school would give me the opportunity to learn more things
in my chosen field and that it would sharpen my teaching skills further.
It is my aim to match my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate and dynamic
teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school and to the community where it
belongs.
