JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK


1. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand state.
2. It was established in 1936 during British Raj, named Hailey National Park. After
Independence, it was renamed Corbett National Park.
3. It is a part of larger Corbett Tiger Reserve, a Project Tiger Reserve lies here.
4. Its whole area comprises of beautiful hills, riverine belts, grasslands and large lake.
5. We can watch the nature and wildlife in an open four wheeler jeep.
6. Jim Corbett has been divided in five different zones naming:- Bijrani Safari zone,
Jhirna Safari zone, Dhela Safari zone, Dhikala Safari zone, Durga Devi zone.
7. Durga Devi zone is the heaven on planet earth for those who are fond of bird watching.
8. If you are fond of serene ambiance of the natural beauty, you must visit Sitabani area.
