AIG AI Manager
The AI Manager, developed by the AIG software team, is a powerful tool to manage your AI traffic. It
provides a compact view of all useful information regarding your AI traffic and offers some
management options like renaming and removing.

Data-Collection
On each start of AIM the tool will collect all sorts of information of your local AI Setup. This included
a list of all Airports (this list will be cached so the next start will be much faster). All traffic BGLs will
be collected and analyzed as well as all SimObjects.

With all these information AIM will start a merging and assigning process. Flightplans will be assigned
to airports, Fltsim-Entries will be assigned to Aircraft-Entries of the flightplans. This means there are
no more long waiting times while using AIG AIM.

In the main view of the tool, a list of all installed flight plans is shown, with some detailed
information that are based on the filename of the file. For some developers these identifications
work better than for others, this is because some common filename structures are implemented in
the tool. If you have a different structure the tool tries to get all information with a generic
algorithm.
If you select an installed flight plan some basic information will be shown on the right side.

When right-clicking on a selected plan you will get the option to choose from the following
commands:

• Detailed Information: This will open an extra window with more information about the flight
plan.
• Rename: Let’s you rename the current BGL-File.
• Delete: You can delete the flightplan with/without the assigned fltsim-entries and textures.

Tool - Reload Data

With the reload option, the tool will reload all information.

Tool - Settings
FS Settings

The selected FS Version you have selected on startup will be shown as as as the directory path of
your simulator.

FSX and FSX:SE: Specify the directories AIM needs to scan on startup for Flightplans and SimObjects.
Update Settings

Specify the oldest Season AIM will check in the online sources for possible newer flight plans. Oldest
OCI flightplans are Summer 2018.

There are different sources for AIM to collect flightplans online. For the AIG Files Server as well as for
the pre 2018 OCI-FPs is no extra login needed.

Some flightplans are uploaded to different topics in the AIG Forum. In case you want this flightplans
collected as well, you need to login to the Forum!

Flightplans

Compiler

You can set here minimum and maximum values the compiler will use to set the activity level of each
aircraft in a flightplan. These values are used by the “Traffic-Slider” in the FS-Settings.

AIGFP-Files

AIM 1.0 is the first installer that can install the new AIGFP files. You need AIG Traffic Controller to
inject these files to the Sim! If this option is active an online flightplan containing an AIGFP-File will
be installed as AIGFP file. If this option is disabled all files will be installed as a basic BGL.

Information: AIGFP files contain much more information for a more realistic AI operation. When
saving them as BGL this information will be lost. Some AIGFP files can not be installed as BGL!
Cookies

The tool uses Cookies for automatical downloads. In this page you can check the current status of
your cookies.

AIGAIM - OCI Settings

A basic overview of you current OCI settings. These settings are set during the setup of OCI, but can
be changed here later on. For more information please read the Quick-Start guide for OCI.

Online – Check Online

If all update settings are correct an online search will be started. Local flight plans will be marked as
outdated if a newer version has been found online. To download it: Select the flight plan, select a
replacement from the right side, right click on it and select Download.
Online – Available Online but not Installed
In some cases, it may happen that the tool detects online flight plans and cannot assign them to the
local flight plans. This is often the case if you have not installed a flightplan for this airline yet. AIM
offers you now up to 3 options:

• Download the FP for a local installation

• Install the flightplan directly using AIM

OCI only

• Select multiple flightplans and install them automatically using the Bulk-OCI function.

Info: When “Multiselection” is enabled you can use “Crtl+A” to select all flightplans in the list.
Flightplans – Duplicate Flightplans
A Check will be performed showing all flight plans that appear to be duplicated.

Flightplans – Duplicate Registrations

A list of all duplicated Registrations will be show. If you select one a list of the related flight plans will
be shown.

When a file is selected in the right list, open the context menu to have the option for removing this
registration from the flightplan. The Registration and all assigned legs will be removed, and the file
will be recompiled.

Flightplans – Missing Fltsim-titles

A list off all used Aircraft titles that could not be assigned to an installed Fltsim-entry.

OCI Info: Titles with (NO PAINT) are not missing, there is just no paint to install.

Flightplans – Merge Flightplans

Allows to merge the content of two traffic files into a single file.

Flightplans - Install
AIG AI Manager supports two kinds of installation methods for local saved flight plans and one for
online flight plans. Local flight plans can be installed from a zip-archive or as a txt-fileset. Online flight
plans can only be installed as zip-archives.

Install from ZIP/Online-Installation

When installing from a local zip-archive you need to select the zip-archive. If you want to install a
online flight plan just click “Install”.

The zip-archive will be extracted into a local temp folder and a new window will open.
Install Manual
This tab features options to download, install and assign repaints to aircraft featured in the
flightplan. The download and install features are only available when the zip-archive contains a valid
aifp.cfg or aig.xml file.

The list shows all aircraft from the flightplan and the status. You can download a repaint and install it.
If the CheckBox “Ready” is checked you can proceed to the next aircraft.

In the combo-box below the list possible suitable fltsim-entries from the local flight simulator are
listed, when selecting a fltsim-entry from the list, it will automatically be assigned to the aircraft. If
the box is empty or the fltsim-entry is not shown, you can use the textbox below to search for a
fltsim using the syntax for fltsim-keys (ex.: title=*Air Canada*)

Install repaint
When the download is completed a repaint can be installed by clicking “Install”.
From the top list, select the target SimObject and from the second List the texture you want to install
(different texture-formats). After modifying the fltsim-values click install.

One-Click-Install (P3Dv4 only!)

Since Version 0.8 AIGAIM features the OCI-Method, this will install all models and repaints
automatically into a separate Addon. If there’s a repaint for a payware model available a pop-up
window appears and offering the various model options. So the preferred model can be selected
here.

Use the configuration view to select different models for an aircraft (this is not always possible).

Fltsim – Installed
This window provides a list of all Folders were a aircraft.cfg file was found and a second list of all
fltsim entries within this aircraft.cfg file. After selecting a Fltsim Title the main information for that
entry will be shown.
After making some changes click “Save” to write then into the aircraft.cfg file. To delete an entry and
the assigned texture folder click “remove”. In case of an error/mistake inside the
title/model/sim/texture entry a red marker right of the box will be displayed.

Fltsim – Errors
The keys title, model, sim and texture of each fltsim entry will be checked as soon as the tool is
loading the .cfg file. In case of an missing folder or .air file the entry will be marked as faulty. This
window provides a list of all faulty entries and the possibility to fix them.

When moving your mouse over the textbox of the faulty entry a tooltip will be shown for more
information.

Airports – Show Airport

A list of all installed Airports (Addon and Stock) will be shown, when selection one you will get some
basic information about the airlines operating at this airport.
Use the TextBox to filter Airports by the ICAO code. Right click on an airport and click “Detailed
Information to get more Information.

Airports – Missing Airports

Based on the collected data a list of all missing airports within the flight simulator will be created.

When selecting one ICAO code, a list of all flight plans operating at this airport will be shown.

AIGAIM Addon – Repair CFG

Sometimes it can happen that during an OCI process a CFG files get corrupted, use this option to
repair all aircraft.cfg files from OCI-SimObjects.

AIGAIM Addon – List Directory Info

A TXT file will be saved in your main OCI directory. It will list all files within the current installation.

AIGAIM Addon – Collect ORBX-Data

This option will start a process to collect needed data from the freeware ORBX Australia AI Traffic
Pack. Please follow the instruction in the setup.

Live-Data – Live Timetable

This option requires and running Prepar3Dv4 scenario. Based on your current aircraft location a list
of all nearby airports will be collected. You can now select one Airport and the daily timetable for
departures and arrivals will be generated based on the BGL information. For Aircrafts currently flying
in the Sim the information will be merged with the live data from the simulator.
Flightplan Viewer
When requesting more detailed information about a flight plan a new window will open.

Overview

Showing more basic information about the flight plan as well as a map of all routes operating by this
airline.

Aircraft

A List of all Aircraft in the flight plan is shown with the average utilization and the number of
registrations assigned to this AC/Type. When selecting an aircraft, a list of all assigned Registration
will be shown with some basic information.
GanttChart

A visual timetable of the airline is shown (all times in UTC).

Airport Viewer
When requesting more detailed information about an airport a new window will open.

Overview (coming soon)

Airlines
Shows a list of all airlines operating at this airport and the routes they are operating.

When selecting an airline, only the routes of this airline will be shown. To see all routes again click
“Show All”.
Parking Map (WIP)
Based in the information provided in the BGL files of the stock and addon airports AIG AIM will draw
a parking map with all parking spaces.

Timetable
Based on the BGL-information a timetable for the current Day (UTC) will be displayed. It takes some
time to generate this timetable!
Know issues
1. Some route maps cannot be displayed, because there are either to many routes or
GMap.com does not know the airport code.
2. Some local flight plans may not be correctly identified.
3. If the entries in an AIFP.cfg/AIG.XML file are not correct the flightplan installation-
process can end with an error.
