Find the greatest common factor of each of the following numbers.

1. 12 and 18

The Greatest Common Factor (GCF) for 12 and 18, is 6.

Explanation:

The factors of 12 are 1,2,3,4,6,12;

The factors of 18 are 1,2,3,6,9,18.

So, as we can see, the Greatest Common Factor or Divisor is 6, because it is the greatest
number that divides evenly into all of them.

2. 35 and 50

The Greatest Common Factor (GCF) for 35 and 50, is 5.

Explanation:

The factors of 35 are 1,5,7,35;

The factors of 50 are 1,2,5,10,25,50.

So, as we can see, the Greatest Common Factor or Divisor is 5, because it is the greatest
number that divides evenly into all of them.

3. 121 and 99

The Greatest Common Factor (GCF) for 99 and 121, is 11.

Explanation:

The factors of 99 are 1,3,9,11,33,99;

The factors of 121 are 1,11,121.

So, as we can see, the Greatest Common Factor or Divisor is 11, because it is the
greatest number that divides evenly into all of them.
Find the least common multiple of the following numbers

1. 8 and 24

LCM of 24 and 8 is 24.

The LCM of two non-zero integers, x (24) and y(8), is the smallest positive
integer m(24) that is divisible by both x(24) and y(8) without any remainder.

2. 15 and 25

LCM of 15 and 25 is 75.

The LCM of two non-zero integers, x (15) and y(25), is the smallest positive
integer m(75) that is divisible by both x(15) and y(25) without any remainder.

Convert the following to decimal numbers.

1. 100100001012

1x210+0x2⁹+0x28+1x27+0x26+0x25+0x24+0x2³+1x2²+0x2¹+1x2⁰

1x1024+0x512+0x256+1x128+0x64+0x32+0x16+0x8+1x4+0x2+1x1=1024+0+0+128+

0+0+0+0+4+0+1

1024+0+0+128+0+0+0+0+4+0+1=1157.

100100001012 = 115710

2. 72710028

72710028 = (7 × 86) + (2 × 85) + (7 × 84) + (1 × 83) + (0 × 82) + (0 × 81) + (2 × 80)

72710028 = 192973010

3. 8A41CE16

8A41CE1616 = 2,319,568,40610

8x165+Ax164+4x16³+1x16²+Cx16¹+Ex16⁰

8x1048576+10x65536+4x4096+1x256+12x16+14x1= (9060814) 10
