‘’Mixed use building is a type of urban development that blends residential,


commercial, culture and entertainment uses, where those functions are
physically and functionally integrated and that provides pedestrian connections’’

•Kumru Ankara, built as a mixed use
building, consists of 164 houses and open
shops.

Building is planned according to three basic
levels.

•Public platform

•Inner courtyard which has close relation to


road.

•Upper platform for residences.

•Fitness center, swimming pool, playground are


provided on this level which brings people
together.

PROS:

•Green courtyard which is circulation between public and residential spaces.

•Roof gardens build on commercial units provide green area contribution to the upper town and at
the same time garden strengthen the view of the houses

CONS

•Insufficient parking spaces.
