2. What is one thing that readers can learn from this text? Cite several pieces of text to
support your point. Be sure to explain what the text is showing.
‘Selling these products to people in other nations made South Korea rich. They now
have one of the largest and most thriving economies in the world.’
‘North Korea is one of the poorest nations in the world and it is armed with nuclear
weapons.’
‘One country is among the wealthiest, the other amongst the poorest’
I cited these pieces of the text because it’s the information that caught my attention
because how two countries that come from one same nation, have grown far apart in
different economies and societies.
3. In what ways have the two Koreas grown apart? Discuss two ways in which they
have grown apart and support each of your points with text. Be sure to explain your
quotes. Make your argument clear.
Just as I answered in the previous question, North Korea it’s one of the poorest nations
in the world but it is armed with nuclear weapons, but they opted to do little to no
trading with other nations. This means that most of their population does internal
commerce, affecting their options to send their products internationally.
In the other hand, South Korea has one of the richest economies in the world
and the highest salaries in Asia.
United States raised South Korea in their own image and as we know, the U.S.
is a capitalist country. Meanwhile, North Korea was raised by the Soviet Union
which was supposed to follow a communist system.
Both countries share a border, but they are completely different in economy,
education, technology, and job securities.
