Locking and unlocking the vehicle
The convenience key allows you to lock and
unlock your vehicle without handling the
key itself. You only need to have the ~ to switch on the ign it ion and start the e ng ine.

To lock the vehicle:
Move the selector lever to position P
(on vehicles with automatic gearbox).
Touch the locking sensor O once.

Switching the ignition on/off
Press the button without pressing the brake peda l

Starting the engine
Automatic gearbox: Press the brake pedal, move the
selector lever to position P or N and press t he button .
Manual gearbox: Press t he clutch peda l,
select neutral gear and press the button.

Technology
The start/stop system is automatically activated each time the ignition is switched on.
You can switch the system off if you don't want to use it: just press the ~ switch.

Hold assist
Hold assist automatically prevents your vehicle from rolling away

Technology
Audi active Lane assist
The active lane assist detects lane markings (e.g. on a motorway). If the vehicle
approaches one of the detected lane markings, the system corrects the steering slightly.
The driver can override this steering correction at any time. If the vehicle crosses a lane
marking, the steering wheel vibrates to warn the driver. The warning is not given if
the turn signal is operated beforehand. To activate/deactivate the system,
press button 0 on the turn signal lever.

Main beam assist
The main beam assist automatically switches the
main beam headlights on or off depending on
the surrounding light conditions.
To switch on:
Turn the light switch to AUTO.
Push the main beam lever in the direction of
arrow O. The indicator lamp ~® will appear
at the bottom of the instrument cluster display.
When the main beams are switched on automatically,
the indicator lamp §D will also light up.
To switch off:
Pull the main beam lever in the direction of arrow O .

Press the thumbwheel to mute the MM!.
Press the button to call up a user-assigned function.
Press the button to have the last navigation cue repeated.
Briefly press the button to activate the speech dialogue system.
You can give a spoken command after the <beep>. To deactivate t he
system, press and hold the B button until you hear the cue <Cancel> .

Infotainment
Connecting
a mobile phone
Important: The vehicle must be stationary
with the ignition, MM! and mobile phone
switched on. Bluetooth and discoverability
must be switched on in the MM! settings
and on your mobile phone.
Connecting a mobile phone:
• Press the m button on the MM!.
• Select Connect mobile phone.
• Select Continue to search for new
Bluetooth devices .
• Select the desired mobile phone from
the list of Bluetooth devices shown.
• Select Handsfree .
• Select Yes to confirm the PIN displayed
and then enter the PIN on your mobile
phone.
• Also confirm the system query on your
mobile phone when prompted to do so.
Further functions
Speech dialogue
system
You can operate many MM! functions
conveniently by voice.
Important: The ignition and the MM!
system must be switched on, you must
not be talking on the phone, and the
parking aid must be deactivated.
To switch on: Briefly press the button
on the multi-function steering wheel.
A <beep> signal will indicate that the
system is ready. A selection of possible
comm ands will appear on the MM! display.
To switch offR <CANCEL> or press
and hold the button until you hear
the cue "Cancel".
The speech dialogue system is not availa ble
for Cabriolet models.
Example commands
Calling a contact from the directory:
Say <Call (XV)>, e.g. <Call Joh n Smith>.
Calling the last number dialled:
Say <Redial>.
Entering an address as t he
navigation destina tion:
Say <Enter address> and follow the
directions given by the system.
Searching for a special destination (POI) :
Say <Navigation>, then <Special destination>
and follow the directions given by the
system .
Navigating to your home add ress:
If you have stored your home address as
one of your favour ites, say <Navigation>
and then <Home address>.
Having the system play the
possible commands:
Say <Help>, <Help telephone>,
<Help navigation>, <Help med ia> etc.
Audi connect
Audi connect services allow online information to be directly transmitted
and integrated into the vehicle.
Thanks to a Wireless LAN (WiFi) hotspot, it is possible to use a mobile
device to access the Internet in the rear of the vehicle du ring journeys
or anywhere in the vehicle when it is stationary.
The steps required for using Audi connect are described below:

• Establishing an Internet connection

• An overview of Audi connect services
• Configuring Audi connect services via myAudi
• Logging into myAudi in the vehicle

The availability, scope, provider and price of the services offered can vary, as can the way in which the services
are displayed on the screen. These variations depend on your country, model, model year, device a nd
mobile phone contract. Please refer to the notes on safety and usage in the "Audi connect" chapter of your
MM! Operating Manual. Further information can be found on the Internet at www.a udi.com/con nect.
Establishing an Internet connection
In order to establish an Internet connection, you will need a separate SIM card with a data plan.
An LTE data plan is required if you wish to use LTE. The SIM card reader is located in the glove box.
