MMI Functions Pairing Cell Phone to Bluetooth™ System
Depend ing on your cell phone you can pair your phone using Secure Simple Pairing or
standard pairing.
Simple Secure Pairing (SSP)
• Vehicle must be stationary with ignition on. Bluetooth system will be visible for 5 minutes.
• Press the ~ function button on the MMI.
• Select the "Search for new cell phone" menu item and confirm.
• Select your Bluetooth cell phone in the display and confirm.
• Select the "Handsfree" menu item and confirm your selection.
Driver assistance systems • Select "Yes" to confirm the 6 digit PIN matching the cell phone display.
Use the button ~ to adjust or operate • Select PAIR on the phone to complete pairing.

Various phones required that a confirmation be accepted for automatic future connections
between the phone and MMI system as well as acknowledging the synchronization of the
address book between the phone and MMI.
Advanced key
Opening and closing the vehicle
With advanced key, you can lock and
unlock your vehicle without using the
remote control key . You only need to
carry the remote control key with you.
Unlocking the vehicle:
Grasp one of the door handles or the handle
recess on the luggage compartment lid.
Locking the vehicle:
Place the selector lever in the P position .
Touch the sensor O on one of the door
handles.
Closing the rear lid:
Pull the rear lid down at the grip on
the inside and allow it to drop gently
to close it .
,& WARNING
When you lock your vehicle from the outside, do
not leave anyone - especially children - inside the
vehicle. Remember, when you lock the vehicle
from the outside the windows cannot be opened
from the inside.
_&WARNING
Always ensure that no one is within range of the
rear lid when it is moving, in particular close to
the hinges - fingers or hands can be pinched.
,& WARNING
When you leave the vehicle, always remove
the ignition key and take it with you. This will
prevent passengers (children, for example) from
accidentally being locked in the vehicle should
they accidentally press the power locking switch
in the front doors.
